No sound on my PC

First check to see if any external speakers work with it, then check the device manager to see if there is any conflict between the laptop and the internal speakers, if there is conflict try and resolve it, the check the speaker drivers, ,then adjust the sound levels and test the speakers, If they still dont work, take the laptop in for service...

thank u

I have formated ma laptop but not installed sound driver.where can i find sound driver for cozpaq preserio V6000

Sir, first find what is the brand of your sound card. In that way, you can easily find what you are looking for. If you don't know what the type is, you can contact HP to know the type of sound card driver you need. I hope that answered your question.

I want to download sound driver.

If you don't know to much about your sound, or pc hardware do folowing:
1. go to FileHippo and download Everest free edition

2.install it

3.start Everest and click on "Computer" icon then "Summary"

You'll see all your PC's hardware, so search for something called "sound" or "Multimedia".
If you have sound card integrated on your motheboard check web page of your motheboard manufacturer.

Sound card drivers

hi t_bihlaz...

to find the sound card type you have, go to control panel, system.. once you're there click on the hardware tab and open the device manager... you should be able to find your sound card in there... you'll have to click on the + next to sound or audio devices and if you right click on the actual device you'll get a menu... click properties.

you can find the driver information there, which should give you a clue on what to search for. if the info you find there isn't enough. let me know and i'll explain how to find the info on the physical card, it involves opening your pc... and you have to be very careful doing that... so get back to me about that if what you find in the device manager isn't enough and i'll tell you exactly what to look for.

to find a driver, there are many places to download drivers, most require that you sign up, some require a fee... and the amount of drivers can be mind boggling, so best to check the manufacturers site first... drivers can usually be found in the support section.

often, if the card is old, the manufacturer removes the drivers from the site... usually because they don't support it any longer... if that's the case, you will have to go to one of the many driver sites around... driverguide is one that has a lot of resources.

let me know if this helps and if you need any more info...

My sound was accidentely deleted how do i getit back

first check the recycle bin and restore anything that is related to it.
That should work, if not, you need to reload the sound driver.
Your computer should have a driver disc that came with it when you bought the computer. If you can not find it, you need to know what type of sound you computer has. Check with the manufacterer of your computer online at the support page. Many times you can find the type of computer you have and all the drivers needed right on the website. You just need to know if it is a Dell and what model or Gateway, HP, ect. and the model number. Most seem to use the Realtec audio driver. You can google it and find free downloads.
