My phone will not allow messages to be left. How do I reverse that?

You can skip tracing via texts or phone calls:
Phone calls: Local phone calls are answered more so prefer a mobile phone that allows you set up local phone numbers whenever desired.

Custom greeting messages: When a person doesn't answer the phone call, you are instructed to leave a voice message. Now, when the other person calls you back and your greeting message differs from the one that you had left in the voice message, he would straight away hang up your call.

You can also use tools for skip tracing to do the needful task!

message app > press and hold on the text and it should ask to delete or from the top left there should be a 3 dotted icon allowing you to delete the messages

To add a signature to each sent message:
1. Select OK > Messaging > Settings > Text Messaging.
2. Highlight the Add Signature field.
3. To have your phone add your name to each text message, select On.

To have your phone add a custom signature to each text message, select Change Signature, enter the closing you want to sue, and press save (left soft key)

To retrieve message from mailbox behind the phone:
Feature 981
Enter your password as asked

To retrieve message from mailbox that is not behind the phone:
Feature 981
Press OTHER
Log = Your ext # and password together
Press OK

Example if mailbox 100 and password 1234 then your log = 1001234

Example if mailbox 221 and password 5678 then your log = 2215678

You can customize various sound settings.
Incoming call

Ringtone.
This menu allows you to select a ring melody. Highlight Ringtone and press . Use the Up or Down key to highlight a ring tone or press the Left or Right key to select a file from either the Default Melodies, Voice list, or Sounds folders. Press the Select soft key.

Volume
This menu allows you to adjust the ring volume to one of 7 levels plus Silent mode and Vibration mode.

• Use the Right or Left key to increase or decrease the volume.

Alert type
This menu allows you to specify how inform you of incoming calls. Use the Right or Left key to select an Alert type.
The following options are available:
- Melody: the phone rings using the ring melody selected in the Ringtone menu.
- Vibration: the phone vibrates but does not ring.
- Melody and vibration: the phone rings and vibrates simultaneously.
- Vibration then melody: the phone vibrates three times and then starts ringing.
- Melody then vibration: the phone rings using the ring melody selected in the Ringtone menu and then vibrates.

Message tone
This menu allows you to set up the ringer for incoming messages. You can set the Tone, Alert type, and Repetition.

Keypad tone
This menu allows you to select a Beep or a Xylophone for your Keytone and to select the Volume (0-7) that the
phone sounds when you press a key.

Follow the instructions in the manual to switch from the Announce mode to the Answer mode.

caller id does not work when you are on the phone. You have to have teh line open, caller ID is only one line and only allows you to switch back and forth, the answering machine is not hearing teh call only you are.

well my pantech slate was doing the same thing, so what i did was turn off the phone, take the battery out and put it back in.
after i turned it on, it was fixed. voila.

My daughter is having same problem, she texts alot. you can access voice mail etc, but when you choose text message the screen fades out and the phone reboots. she only has 6 messages in the queue
