Try removing the battery. While holding the eject button, re-insert the battery.

You need the battery to operate the tape eject. Don't try to pry out the trim - the door will break off!
Try to replace  the battery and then go through the eject procedure.

Another idea. Try the a/c battery adapter to power the unit. I assume it plugs into the camera someplace. If you don't have one, GENTLY try to remove the battery. Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and replace or recharge the battery. That should make the tape mechanism work. Try forward, reverse, ff and rewind. Then try to eject the tape. The battery is meant to come out easily and can be coerced. The tape door cannot.

The power on the Panasonic Palmcorder IQ PV-A206 turns itself off. I've tried plugging directly and with a fully charged battery, no luck.

please make this test and fix it. God bless you

If the video camera doesn't work, make sure the battery is charged (see The Battery Recharger Fix-It Guide) or replace a battery that won't hold a charge. Make sure the AC adapter is connected properly. Clean any dirty contacts on the battery, charger, and AC adapter with a cotton swab dipped in denatured alcohol. Remove corrosion with a clean pencil eraser, then wipe the area with an artist's brush to remove any debris. Find and test the fuse, if any.
If the power goes off soon after starting, recharge a low battery. Also, turn the video camera power off, then turn it back on and eject the tape. If the problem persists, check the fuse
If the battery won't charge, clean the contacts and fully discharge the battery, then recharge it. If the problem persists, replace the battery

If the video camera works intermittently, remove and reseat the to establish good contact. If necessary replace the fuse

Where is tape located

Look at manual, "tape eject" button is located on top of camcorder near eyepiece. Slide it to the right and door will open.

My screen is striped blue during playback with no soud panasonic palmcorder pv gs15

Your tape has a small latch on it that closes to protect from recording or eraser and opens to allow for playing or dubbing. Slide it open and see what happens.

Dew Detected

I've got the 203 and all i had to do was take the bat. off and give it a couple of good hits on my palm, hitting the bottom of the camera. At sounds odd, but trully works. On the 203 its an electrical issue. Before doing this, be sure to open open the tape case, and remove your memory card and, if you can, the internal bat.

it worked for me.

Good luck.
