Question about Toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 Notebook

1 Answer

Toshiba L45-S7423 won't power up

When push the pwer switch is pushed on the green lights appear and just for a few seconds you see blue, red, grey horizontal lines appear and then whitish verticla lines appear. And then nothing , the lap top does not turn on. I tried using the power adapter and the same thing. I checked the checked the memory they were sitted right. They were. Tried cleaning the memory. Switched the top memory with the bottom one. Took out the battery waited for minute or so put back in nothing. I don't know if its the motherboard or something wrong with the power switch or what. The laptop is a year old. The warranty just ran out.

Based on my experience this sounds more like a display issue, not necessarily the LCD but most like the inverter somehow cam unseated or it's on it's way out, then again it could be a graphic card that has come unseated without opening up the LCD bezel or examining the graphics card it's hard to say, sorry

Hope this helps.

Hello, my satellite l45-s7423 has a "blue screen" when i try to turn it on. i have misplaced the recovery disk. what can i do to fix this issue?

While the system is starting up keep pressing F8 (function key 8). When you see a black screen with bunch of options select "Last Know Good Configuration". Let me know if that fixes the issue.

I HAVE A SATELLITE L45- S7423 AND IT WAS WORKING FINE AND WHEN I TURN IT BACK ON, IT TURN ON THE GREEN LIGHT BUT THE SCREEN WHEN BLACK.

Your can try to unplug and re-plug your screen connector. Turn over your laptop and look for a very small cap in the left corner. Take out that 1 little screw and look for the connector.
Hope this will solve your problem
