How do I get the TV to show DVD's from the attached DVD player? I have a model 27V512T or where can I buy a manual.

Hey Don, You must connect the dvd player and the tv together via the Composite connections. Your tv should have three rca connectors on the front. They be red, yellow and white. Connect the same colors to the back of your dvd player and you'll be in business.

I just bought a new dvd player and it references the hdmi which I know the tv does not have. Will it still work with this tv?

Probably, you'll just need the audio and video cables separately. Most DVD Players still have Component video (one cable with 3 video plugs on each end and the two channel (red and white) RCA audio. Your TV also has an AV input (one cable with a single RCA plug on each end - usually yellow for video, plus the audio cable) and S-video.

The component video is your best choice with modern DVD players if you can't use the HDMI port.

I hope this helps.

How do I plug in my dvd player to this rca 52 in

Hello,

the red and white rca wire stands for audio (sound) and the yellow stands for video(display).

So connect the red, white and yellow wire as Out from the DVD and connect it to In of your TV.

After the connection, press AV from your TV remoter in order to watch your DVD on your TV.

Best wishes.

How do you hook up a dvd player to the panasonic 10801 hd tv

the easy way is RCA cables..Plug the video out of the dvd into the video input of the t/v...then plug the audio -right & left out of the dvd into the audio input of the t/v...For a great picture use an S-video cable from the dvd to the t/v BUT thats just for the picture not the sound. you still need rca cables for sound

Cable plug broke off

Well first repair the coaxial cable going to your antenna. There is no way you can use RCA cables as a substitution for coaxial cable. They have totally two different properties. You can use the coaxial and feed it to a VCR/DVD player where you can output the signal with RCA/composite cables. Basically, use your VCR/DVD player as a tuner for your TV.

I have a 32 inch sharp tv and it has been working fine, but i just went to watch a dvd and got sound from the dvd but a green, disjointed pattern instead of pictures. i switched dvds and it was the same...

there is a possibility that you have switched the RCA cables for the right port, the color patterns happen if your plug the component RCA ( Y Pb Pr) on a diff port. their usually color coded so please double check that to.

e733778.jpg if not, please let us know what is the model number of the TV and we will find what can be done in the TV.

How to connect surround sound system, at the moment its connected through cable, each time we use the dvd player we have take them out of the cable box then into the dvd player, we have a LG 42PC55 tv.

In order of picture and sound quality -- from best to worst:

1. The best way to connect, assuming your TV and A/V Receiver and/or Cable Box have the jacks, is to use a HDMI cable ( this cable is for both sound and video).

2. Use Component Video out to input (3 RCA plugs, Red, Blue & Green) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).

3. Use S-Video out to input (1 din plug) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).

4. Use Video out to input (1 RCA plug, yellow) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).

Be sure to select the correct inputs on your TV and Audio/Video receiver when you are watching TV. For example if you have connected your TV to HDMI 1 and DVD to HDMI 2, you will not see or hear anything if you don't select the correct input on your TV and A/V receiver for the input you want to see and hear.

Detailed connection instructions will be found in your owners' manuals.

Hope this helped you. :)
