The only place you can opil an ultim is inside the bobbin case and around the bushings in the front end. Do a search for Anns fix it and you will find more than you will ever need for these machines

My Brother embroidery machine is leaving oil stains on material when I sew. What's the problem and what do I do to fix it.

At some point, the machine has probably been over-oiled--perhaps not by you. If the oil is coming from the needle bar or presser foot bar, you can try cleaning those bars with a clean cloth to remove any excess oil. (Drop the presser foot and the needle so you can wipe as high as possible.)

If it continues to be an issue, you may need to have your machine cleaned.

How can I get my machine to stop jamming

Have you tried oiling all moving parts. Go under presser foot under bobbin and remove all lint. Try to change the needle.

I need to oil my own machine, Brother Innovis 1500, I bought it in the US and brought it home to Saudi Arabia. The machine began acting up now and I'm trying to find info for oiling it. The under bobbin...

No oiling a computorized sewing machine. These areas are factory sealed and only serviced by a Brother tech.

Refer to the care and maintenance section of the manual for cleaning as this needs to be done more often with sewing/embroidery machines that have the drop-in bobbin.

Look for thread snips and lint.

Raise the needle to it's highest position before removing and replacing the bobbin case.

You can get a manual, if needed at the Brother website to view or download at no cost.

Eventually you will have to take the machine in for service. The site has a dealer locator, if needed.

My brothers pe 150 embroidery machine has never been serviced; can i get advice on cleaning, oiling, etc.

The manual has instructions for cleaning, which is basically removing the needle plate and bobbin case and cleaning the area with a soft brush or cotton swab. Some use canned air.

There is no oiling of computorized sewing machines.

Lubrication has to be done by an authorized tech.

If you oil and get it in the wrong place, it could interfere with the computer's sensors and create more problems.

Where do i oil my machine? I'm not finding it in the manual. I have a simplicity se3 embroidery americana series

A lot of the newer computer models don't seem to recommend oiling. I went to the manufacters website for my machine- brother pc-420- to find out, because like you, there were no indications in my manual. Brother website informed machine was oiled plenty already and advised oiling could cause damage. Seems like a way to put services centers back in business if you ask me! My advice would be to call Simplicity and see what they have to say about maintenance. In the meantime I will be making the same call to Brother. Hope we both stay out of repairs. Good luck! =)

Problem After Oiling

More than likely the machine is okay but when you do the embroidery the presser foot is not all the way down and it has no tension. The other possibility is that the thread is not in the take up lever all the way or is slipping out.
