If the compressor is running continually, could be short of gas , or a compressor problem, ie not pumping properly, make sure it has plenty of ventilation

Freezer works now and fridge still warm

your right the air is not getting through the cold coil / when you defroated it . did you remove the back of freezer . if not there is still 2 in of ice back there blocking the air flow/ now a good defrost is needed but you need to correct the problem of why this happened . either the timer / heater or defrost termminator is bad . usualy its the heater.. mm hope this helped .. feed back pls

Fridge isn't cold

Hi,

if the compressor is running your ref. should be getting cold. Their is a defrost timer but when it is in defrost the compressor shuts off. I think you do have a leak.

thanks,

Freezer or fridge stopped cooling. Can not hear compressor kick on

If the compresor is trying to start and it won't you 'll heard a click and the compresor will be very hot ,that means that the relay is bad or the compresor is stuck or burned and needs to be replaced, but first before replacing the compresor try with the relay (no more than $20).But if the lights and fan inside the fridge work and the compresor won't start and is not hot ,the problem is in the cold con trol (you can put a jumper wire between the two wires to the cold control and if the compresor starts thats your problem) after all this if still the compresor won't start could be that the timer is stock in the defrost position.

My fridge is running but not cold

Is the compressor running? How about the fan motor? Chck. those items first and when there be sure coil is clean. Now coil is clean, fan and compresor are running, then you may have leak on the system. Quik test, unplug frige from wall and plug it back after a few second, if compressor runs, you have a leak.
