Question about Bemis Cool Mist SpaceSaver 160-826-800 Humidifier

Bemis 821 000 filled with h2o but still says refill

Just filled my Bemis, it's been stored in our garage all summer.
I have a new filter in it, filled it, and it still says: refill.
What do I need to do?
I had the unit unplugged when we refilled the container.
thanks

Should anything be done to 305t before it retires for the summer?

Yes, there is. Routine maintenance is important. Mix a 50/50 solution of White Vinegar and Bottled Distilled Water and fill the tank with it. Run the humidifier until the tank is 1/2 empty. Then empty the remaining solution and refill the tank 1/2 way with Bottled Distilled Water and run it until it's empty. This will flush the entire system of the previous 50/50 solution. If you can access the fresh air intake, clean that using a can of compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with) to blow out the accumulated dust. Be sure the unit is completely dry before storing it.

If more folks would do this, they wouldn't have problems in the Fall & Winter.

I have a Bemis Humidifier, Model 821 000. I just put in a new filter and dusted the fan blades as best I could. Now the sensor seems to be off kilter. I set it to 45% humidity, and it doesn't cut off,...

MORE INFO HERE THAN THE BOOK SAYS
1. The sensor is capable of picking up the moisture in the air 2. The sensor is normally built in to these items and you can change the filter with no results 3. These units are designed for much smaller areas in terms of the dehumid. features although advertisements say different 4. Whe3n you cleaned your screen filter, ensure you run water through the same filter for best results

My unit has a new filter, all parts seem to be in place, it has filled with water. It does not turn on no matter how high I turn the humidistat.

is the water fill rod in place with float attached, and the opposit end in the switch hole? does the humidistat clik on and off when turned (just clik) put your finger or a pencil in the hole on the underside and try again. its prolly the float poor design...

Not enough humidity

thanks for your question,
seems to me you have a calcium build up inside the unit, something has slowed down the humidification process and that would be the most likely cause, you should run some diluted (CLR) through it and this should take care of the build up, leave it set for a while with the diluted solution in it then drain it out, and refill, give that a try and it should help, also check to make sure the fan is not getting cloged with dust and clean that too, thanks again for your question, please let us know how we did,

Fill level & digital readout (bemis humidifier)

There is a sticker that comes in the owner's manual that apparently falls out frequently. I was told that the fill level is two inches below the top edge of the reservoir. I am going to mark mine with a Sharpie since stickers have a tendency to fall of when wet.

Moisture not coming out

i realize this answer is a year old; but, i would guess you didn't let the wick become saturated before running. fill the resevoir with water, then let the humidifier sit idle while the wick is saturating. when it is completely saturated, the refill light will go off. refill the resevoir with additional water, as needed. then you can run the humidifier.

Fan runs but no change in the humidity. I can run the fan at the highest setting and go a week or longer with out refilling the water jugs

I have same problem. Water does not come out of the bottles. One bottle empties first. the valve at bottom may be too tight. I loosened the left bottle cap and that released enough water to fill the tray and get to the wick element. I don't know why or how it knows one bottle is empty and changes over to the other, or how it only meters out enough water to fill the tray since there is no moving parts.

Bemis Water Wick 6974Tanks will not disperse water properly

sounds like new caps should solve it, but have you tried soaking the old caps in vinegar overnight? these guys are not the only ones, but they have the correct caps in stock at a pretty good price http://www.marbeck.com/humidifier_parts_bemis.html hope this helps :)
