Re: code to unregional set my dvd player
Go to http://ifndef.altervista.org/index_eng.html a lot of helpful stuff about this unit including instructions on making your recorder region free if you do not understand the stuff on that site i strongly reccomend leaving it alone (easy to break, hard to fix)

The Country Code is just related to the Subtitles etc and nothing to do with the Region.
Most DVD Players/Recorders are set to Play the Region of DVD from the Country they were purchased from. Only some are Region Free (will play DVDs from any Country) when purchased.
Some DVD Players/Recorders can be changed to Region Free by simply entering a code on the Remotes handset or by following instructions to enter a Service Menu and change it their.
Unfortunately yours can only be changed by updating the Firwmare which is a risky and difficult process even if you know what you're doing. I wouldn't advise anyone to try it without previous experience as you could render your DVD Player/Recorder useless.
I am not sure what model DVD player you have, but it MAY help you to look at the DVD Hacks section on this website: www.videohelp.com
I'm not saying for certain your hack is there, but it might be!

The solution depends on where you bought your dvd player, certain dvds are released in north america or japan, etc, and they have different 'region codes' - meaning they can only be played by devices that have a matching code. To clarify, if you bought your dvd player in america, chances are you can only play dvds released in north america. For more information on region codes please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code
I picked up a LG DV276 DVD Player here in Australia but I am from the
United States so I own region 1 DVDs. I unlocked my new player by
instead 1. Open the tray. 2. Press 0 0 0 0 on the remote and a Menu
will appear. 3. Press 0 for region free. 4. Press pause and power off.
I can play everything now, Aussie and US DVDs. Thanks LJ66.
The cd tray eject after put in the DVD movies, but VCD working fine...it is means that the drive's region code haven't set yet .(please refer to user manual to setting the region code) ..or unplug the recorder drive from the dvd player, using the computer setting to change the region code by connecting to computer's IDE cable .
