The nuimber of beeps and duration is a code as to what is wrong. Usually beeps inidicate a hardware malfunction like bad or mismatched memory, or CPU or something cam loose inside like a IDE cable, take not on how many beeps and the sequence, and please post back.

3 long beeps normally indicate defective memory or loose memory on DIMM so take out and insert it again or you need to replace with new memory module. Where as fast beeping indicates Graphics error and need to change the graphic card
