Constant carriage error problem display on printer LCD, the printer HP Officejet 7310 All-in-one is continually displaying the error message irrespective of what solution applied. Can anyone in splving the problem?
After printing something, the carriage gets stuck. I get a carriage jam error on the LCD screen. It continues to do this. This is my second HP all-in-one with the same problem.

Inside your printer the ink cartridges ride in the carriage. If you look closely, there is a plastic strip just behind the carriage with closely spaced little lines on it. If the strip gets dirty with dust or ink, you may get that error. Gently clean the entire strip with a rag moistened with water. be sure the entire strip is clean. Move the carriage back and forth to get at all of it. Then see if that doesn't work.
Usually when the printer displays a carriage jam error the carriage assembly is jamming along the carrige path.
There may be something in the carriage path or the carriage shaft may need lubricating.
Check the area where the carriage is has stoped. There might be an obstruction visible.
SolutionStep one: Perform a power reset and connect the printer directly into the electrical outlet Remove all the paper loaded in the main input tray.Make sure that the product is turned off. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the product. Disconnect the power cord from the product. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and wait 10 seconds. Reconnect the power cord directly into the electrical outlet and check for the following. Make sure that the power cord used is the one provided with the product. If a computer is connected to the product, make sure that the computer is connected to a grounded (three-prong) wall outlet. Make sure that the power cord is firmly connected to both the product and the power supply. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product. Press the power button ( ) to turn on the product. Reconnect the USB cable to the back of the product. If the issue is resolved, proceed to Step six: Print a self-test page. If the issue continues, proceed to the next step.
