A physical inspection report came up with, this unit could be on recall? Is that true?

Most companies do not recall entire furnace. Last time that happened was in the 80s. I would need the serial number to check for up dates but that model has not had any major problems.

Here's a link to the site that has a phone number to call concerning the recall of last December.
Use it to determine if your model Patton heater was included in the recall.

There was also a recall in 1985.

Depending on the age of your heater, there were actually two recalls. One in 1985 and the most recent in December of last year.

This a link to the 1985 recall http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml84/84025.html

This is the link to the most recent http://thestir.cafemom.com/home_garden/113974/huge_walmart_heater_recall_over This one list a number you can call for further information.

Hope this helps.

I have no problem with the heater but was told they are recalling some for fire hazard reasons. How do I find out if mine is one of them??

Go on line to the Delonghi home site and normally they post info. on recalls etc.. Failing that contact your local Delonghi agent - they will know - make sure you have the model and serial number

also - take down the vin number and call the local dealer - ask about recalls - u never know what is there and some recalls are for life -

I need help

Before you do this, call your dealer. There was a recall for the heater and a/c hoses going to the back. A recall has no requirements that you have to have bought it new, it goes as long as the vehicle is in service and has not had the recall done.

Cal the dealer and give them the serial number and they can check it on the phone.

Hope this helps
