I want to install two beer tap faucets in the side of my fridge

I have a Kenmore 18cuft freezer-over refrigerator and want to drill two 1" holes in the side to install beer faucets. I'm trying to confirm that there are no wires or cooling lines in the side of the fridge compartment. It's a model R134a- P/N 240379010

Is this also true for a Kenmore Coldspot side-by-side Model 57572791? I'm actually trying to do the same thing as chuck_noll. Thanks!

I want to drill a hole in the side of my freezer for beer lines. where should i drill

Hi,

Somewhere near the center of one of the sides is best.... but it can still be a guess and by golly deal....

Just keep the beer handy and if you hit a refrigerant line just down a few to make you feel better... :-)

Beer tap

Good day,
If it has the condensor coil mounted on the back of the machine.
(black coil) then yes, VERY DANGEROUS. Refrigeration lines run at an angle from the bottom back of the machine at an angle and terminate at the bottom of the freezer door.
This applies to both sides. Hit one of those and your finished.

Liquids frozen in refrigerator, no water from water dispenser

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Any lines that run through the cabinet should go up the back or and/or around the door. I would carefully cut a hole in the liner and pull the insulation out in small peices just to make sure.
