Yes you can solder it... if you are not confortable soldering take it to someone who is.  Im assuming by littlesilver thing you are talking about the male part and not just the outer casing of the male part.
Soldering is relatively easy and straight forward.  just make sure you put it bac on the way it was suopposed to be to begin with.

If it is just the outer shroud of the male part , you dont actually need it but you have to make sure you put it in correctly every time.  the shroud is just really a guide to help you not insert it incorrectly and they ground it so you have a secondary ground for added prtection but its not really needed.

You will need to find someone with some experience in soldering. I suggest taking it to a repair centre. But, unless there is data on it that you require, it may be cheaper to buy a new one.

How to change battery in a gateway zx4931

The real key to disassembly of the zx4931 is taking the stand off. This is basically a large silver rod, and you'll need to remove it. Start by removing the two plastic covers where the stand attaches to the body of the computer. Press against the narrow portion at the square end of the little cover. This will clear the square-end latch, and you'll then be able to work the cover free.
Once you've taken off the two stand-attachment covers, remove the stand, by unscrewing the three screws at each attachment point.
Now you should be able to separate the black back plastic cover. You may need to run a credit card or screwdriver along the silver edge; in the case of this zx4931 all I had to do was tug gently along the edge to separate it.
Now you're almost in. There are two screws toward what is normally the top of the computer that attach a metal cover over the main workings. With the unit face-down on the table, remove these two screws, then slide the metal cover towards the (normal) top of the computer. That's it! You're in. By the way, those same two screws also hold the hard drive in place.then you will inside battery round as big as quarter coin replace it

Motherboard aux power light is flashing

If you mean the power button just flashes green but it does not power on then your motherboard might be the issue. Remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. In other words just have the power supply and motherboard connected and see if the power light stays solid green. If it does then start re-inserting cards and connecting drives etc (WITH POWER DISCONNECTED) to try and isolate the problem. If not then your motherboard is probably defective and needs to be replaced. Also plug the computer directly into the AC wall outlet.

Moved my desktp computer PJ506AA and it now will not turn on. Light in back is flashing.

Try re inserting the cables connected to your CPU, if it doesn't work,
you need to open the CPU case and re-insert the IO cards inside, it might also needs cleaning inside but a technician might be needed to do the cleaning correctly, due to sensitive parts inside.

Try to watch videos on how to insert IO cards on other sites, for your guide. Good day and good luck.

Do you have a cable for connecting your phone to your computer, If yes, then simply connect them and copy-paste just the way you would from a computer to a flash drive, making sure that you are pasting them in the right folder for music. If no and you have a memory card and memory card reader, remove the memory card from the phone and then insert it into the card reader slots. Then connect your card reader to the computer if it is the one not attached to the computer. Then copy/paste your music from the computer to the card just the way you would to a flash disk. keep in mind the folder to which you are copying the music

My usbest usb2.0 flash drive is no longer working. the computer does not recognize the drive

Ok, so I just searched Google for about 5 hours trying to figure out how to fix the USBest USB2flashStorage USB problem. What happened is the part of the memory that tells the computer how to access the drive and how big the drive is got corrupted. You need a program called "Super Stick Recovery Tool" made by kingmax. Don't worry that your drive isn't a kingmax drive, it will work anyway because it is just going to completely write over that little part of the drive that got corrupted. just go to "" and download
Super Stick Recovery Tool V1.0.2.19.rar
you can open the rar file with winrar or 7-zip. Inside is
Super Stick Recovery Tool V1.0.2.19.exe. Run it as administrator with the drive plugged in and click "Update"
about 5 minutes later-- Problem solved!

*Warning* This erases everything on the drive, I have no clue how to get data off of it before you do this, but at least you can have a working jump drive rather than a paper weight.

Just so you know, I only tested this on a Verbatim 8 Gb drive that had the exact same problems you described. I tried lots of other tools and they didn't work. Super Stick Recovery Tool Rocks!

Cannot detect SD flash memory

check in "my computer" and see if it registers as a removable drive there. If not, then check in the device manager while the card is inserted and look for any yellow icons. There is a chance that the card reader need a driver installed or updated.
Hope this helps.
