PRINTER I HAVE THE PRINTER EPSON TM-T88IV, THIS PRINTER HAVE TO PARALELL PORT, MY NEW PC DON´T HAVE PARALLE PORT, THE BUY TO CABLE IN SIDE PARALELL PORT AND OUT SIDE IS USB. NE NEW PC DON´T SEE THE PRINTER. (NEW PC VISTA HOME BASIC) I INSTALL TO DRIVERS TO PRINTER

You might have to uninstall the printer restart your computer then reinstall your printer
click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you

might see a yellow? ! question exclamation mark or a red X this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver disable uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options also you can troubleshoot the device

My epson TM-T88IV printer is not working... I printed a self test which says "buffer is full"...?what does that means and what should i do now


it sounds like the ram on the epson has gone bad... contact epson support tell them about the buffer and ask if you need to change the internal ram on the epson...

Printer not responding message on epson TM-T88iv


You must first uninstall the printer from the Control Panel. Reboot the PC. Then reinstall the printer with the printer NOT connected. Then connect the printer and allow Windows to detect the printer and load its drivers. When you get a message in the right bottom corner of the screen "The new HW has been installed and is ready for use" then fireup the word processor and set this printer as default printer and start printing. What do I need to hook up TM-T88IV to my computer to print out receipts?


Well according to EPSON the ways you can connect your printer to a computer are RS-232C, IEEE 1284 parallel; RS-485; high-speed USB; 10/100Base-T/TX; wireless. However the way they get you is you have to buy the interface from them. Contact EPSON and see what the cheapest one is. If you're only using it from one computer just a simple parallel cable will do the trick. I have an epson tm-t88IV on a USB port it is very slow to react when sent a print job, I did not have this issue with the Parallel Port, is there anything that can be done?


Have you used EpsonExpert.com yet to find the solution?
Go there (it's an Epson site) and set up a free user account.
From what I'm reading, it has to do with using Windows drivers slowing the response and printing. There are drivers on Epson Expert which should solve your issue.

Did you set it up using Epson's receipt printer drivers? If so, right click on it and choose properties. Under the PORT tab, check and make sure it is set for proper port (LPT1, COM1, USB, etc). If you make changes, click APPLY, then OK. Then Right click, PROPERTIES, Print test Page. If you can't get test page to print, your wasting your time sending codes to printer.
