Question about Panasonic Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

New airconditioner (installed 5 days ago) not working. Turned it on for first time (after installers's demo)yesterday, left the room after it had been running about 30 min. Returned within 10 min to find it had ceased functioning, timer light flashing orange, power light no longer illuminated. Followed procedure in booklet (flashing power light indicates fault) and error code F99 came up. What can I do (I'm waiting to get intouch with after sales service.)

Do nothing on a brand new unit but let the installer or service tech fix it for free, if you go messing with it you may camoflouge the real problem and when the repair tech arrives he wont be able to observe the actual cause or fault and it will do it again after hes gone and you'll be back to square one. please don't touch a thing till the tech arrives and gets the chance to see it broken and use his tools to determine the problem. good luck.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Check the thermostat and make sure the fan switch is set on "Auto". If it is set on "ON" the blower will run constantly.

We have a Goldstar airconditioner model GWHD6500R . Can we get a way to install it in a window that opens sideways?Right to left. Thanks mdye46@yahoo.com

Sure. You *must* install it horizontally as it is designed, however.

To fill the gap above the unit, you will need a panel cut-to-size. Otherwise, the hot air will recirculate back into the room.

Airconditioner is on all the time now, but frosty ice is forming on the coils. The air coming out then becomes cool, but not cold and then we have to turn it on to fan in order for the ice to defrost...as...

most airconditioners will have a cutout or something called a defrost cycle, which turns it off for a while to let the ice melt. And if you run it flat out all the time this may happen too (happened to me in Thailand once, so I just turned it on when I was in my room - and it worked much better)
If it has just started doing it, the recycle timer may need repairing
