Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2 (e8503040) for PC

1 Answer

Hi mate... Hello again mate... I've got another problem that I'm gonna have to bother you with. Its to do with the no sound device problem again but this time I don't think its the motherboard ... it has to be the windows I'm loading up... cos thats what sets up everything when you first start up, right? I say this because, as you know I was built a pc and we thought it was a problem with the board but recently I had put in a new hard-drive in a working pc - loaded the same Windows XP disc on and its the same outcome! I definately know the sound card /device works on that one as I've used it for 2-3 yrs previously... so I think the xp disc is not loading on the sound software for some reason.... do you know how I can rectify that? Many thanks again, Kai

Hi there. It sounds like the XP you have installed doesn't have the correct/updated driver for your sound card. Try installing the most current Sound driver from the manufacturer's website. It would also be a very good idea to download XP Service Pack 3 from Microsoft, as this will have added support and drivers in the database.

Let me know if it works

Thank you

Tim

What to do if logitech speakers are not working after the installation of windows 7?

Hi madhu_susant
Try to identify the missing driver(s) whith a motherboard explorer tool , like Speccy from http://download.cnet.com/Speccy/3000-2094_4-75181811.html or Sandra from http://download.cnet.com/SiSoftware-Sandra/3000-2086_4-10556571.html
Look also in the device manager , click on " display adapters " and double - click on the shown one to update the driver .
You could also try on the motherboard manufacturer's site and look for on board hardware .
It' s not always that easy to find what you are looking for but with a little patience , your issue is always to be fixed .

Hello,

Go back on Device Manager, right-click the HDD and choose 'Uninstall'. Go through this then unplug and plug back in the HDD. Hopefully if the drivers you downloaded are installed it will recognise it first time.

My name is Nick Felix email is nicknickfelix@aol.com a carlyn courtny is advertising over and over????I do not know this person and need him deleted from my face book PLEASE

This type of mail which is advertising and bothering you again and again is called "SPAM" or sometimes they are called "JUNK MAIL". In yahoo mail its refered to as spam and if you have an hotmail account they are called Junk mail. Since you are using AOL I am sure that you will be having something same written on a tab like Spam mail, junk mail or garbage mail etc. Just select the mail message that is bothering you and click on the tab that says Spam or Junk mail and this person or any automated email will not be able to bother you again. All the future mails and the mail you selected to spam will go to Junk or spam folder.

Good Luck!

Hello i like to install speaker sound drivers ...

Speakers do not need any drivers!! Your sound card need drivers.

If your sound card is PCI, remove it and reinsert it to the PCI slot again and see whether your system detect the device and use the sound CD to install the drivers. (Change PCI slots if necessary and turn off the PC before changes the PCI sound card).

If your audio device is intergrated device, check the Bios to make sure the sound/audio is enable.

Note: Check the device manager first to see any audio device had been install properly.

I continuis gettin massegae whenever open word ,that i should validate my copy that its the geninue microsoft ,although i already validated 3 times ,and if egnore it then over time it stops to work...

Hello, so you have run the validated and it have been successfully? if so check that you only have one office 2007 installed. if you have 2 uninstall that one you no have license to.
when that is checked, try to validate again and choose validate true phone support, not Internet validate. then you get a number you should call and you gonna give some numbers and they give you the right numbers. if that doe sent work you gonna talk with a real person from Microsoft that gonna solve your problem.

Audio output device

Hello there kedarsonali first of all dealing with these things needs delicate decision making first I advice you to go to the device manager of your computer and scroll down to your sound device make sure that it is there if yes the best thing to do is to try and update it over the internet, "updating it will also fix whatever problem the device might be facing" if that doesnt work try re-installing the sound device off your sound card disc. If your problem isn`t solved or i have misinterpreted your problem write back to this post and explain it in a more clear way so i can help you overcome this problem. hope i helped you bye! or il be waiting to hear from you again!
