If you look at the back of the refrigerator it would be in the bottom right corner and the wires are there if it has a filter there will be 3 valves

I have a GE side by side refrigerator that makes and dispenses ice ok But does no dispense chilled water. How do I trouble shoot if this is a frozen dispensing tube issue or something else.

The problem could be a faulty water dispensing solenoid valve. On the back of the unit, usually at the bottom you should see where the water connection from your house is located. Turn off the water supply and check the inlet screen to the valve assembly, it may be plugged. If this is okay, if you know how to operate a volt-ohm meter you could check for resistance on the solenoid coil. If you can't check with a meter, you could remove the assembly and take it to a parts store and have them check it. If it is bad, you can purchase a new assembly.

Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t

Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

Water does not stop pouring from water/ice dispenser. Door-to-door GE Profile Refrigerator Model TFX22PPDACC. How to troubleshoot the problem? Or what part need to be replaced?

With the water running tube/pipe is cracked in between or its got loose from its fitting.First inspect the line for this problem. The tube from which water passes, one end is connected to the water valve at the back base of refrigerator. And then from valve two tube runs. One tube is for water dispenser and another tube is for ice chamber filling.Follow that tube from back of the refrigerator. The water dispenser tube That passes through the freezer door also. And the ice maker tube. That connects to the back of ice maker tray. The water fills in the tray.See if that tube is got loose and its not throwing water out instead of ice maker tray. Many a times this happens.--- May be you need to remove the ice maker to get exact location for tube setting and position.----------- But if tubes from water and ice dispenser sections are fitted properly and then there can be crack in the tube.------------But if tubes checked out ok then other possibility can be faulty water fill grommet.------- The grommet is cracked. And that is causing the leak.--------- Go to the back of the unit and remove the cover at the lower right of the unit. This is where the water line goes into your unit. Remove the water line at the solinoid that goes to your ice maker . This will allow you enough slack to remove the old water fill tube and replace it with the new one.
You need to push the white retainers in to release the tubeing from the solenoids.
------------
The part you need is called fill tube grommet. It has to be removed and replaced. The tube is connected to the grommet. Click this link below for more help:---http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-to-remove-ice-maker-fill-tube-from.html
------------ The other possibility for this leak, is water valve. The water valve close and open. When its open, it lets water to the tube. When it closes it stops water. But if the valve is not closing then it will let the water to enter non stop, slowly --- slowly the inside tube getw over filled and then starts leaking.------------ The water valve is not required as per the problem. But if after doing all the repairing, still the same problem, noticed then water valve is required.Because is water valve is not closing properly, then it leaks some water, (drop by drop) and this can cause water to collect in the grommet and this gets formed into ice and the same leaking repeats.---------but at present dont buy water valve.Just keep an eye on this same problem.sometimes leaking will start after few days.In that case also replace water vale.------- Now for other parts, that are extension hose, icemaker tube and clamp.Out of this you will require clamps, sometimes while removing old tube the clamp gets cracked.you can buy this. The extension hose is required if the tube is getting short or actual hose is cracked in between.i dont think you will require extension hose at present. And for ice maker tube. This tube can also be cracked and cause leak.this tubes by time gets bit swollen and loose its grip. Its actually not required. But if you still replace it, that it will be good.--------so you can order clamp and icemaker tube with the grommet part.----------- The parts which you want to order, this is direct link for parts:-- 1. Dual Inlet Water Valve------------ (http://www.partselect.com/PS901314-GE-WR57X10051-Dual-Inlet-Water-Valve.htm)
2. Icemaker Water Line ----------

3. Icemaker Fill Hose Extension ----------

A fill tube clamp for the fill tube grommet----------------

There are three hookups in back of refrigerator. Do I need to run 3 differen tlines of water supply?

To the best of my knowledge there is only ONE source connection and 2 internal connections that would connect to the water inlet valve assembly. This almost sounds like someone removed the inlet water valve and left it off of the unit. (Or.. the water valve was never connected at all)
The plastic tubing just presses into each of the water inlet water valve holes. you have a 50/50 chance of getting the connections correct if they are not labeled. If it is connected incorrectly when you depress water dispense the ice maker will over fill with water. (Swap the connections)
The inlet water valve will look just like this one. It will have 2 inside connections and one external connection. (see link) http://www.fixya.com/uploads/images/1E1A1B9.jpg

There should also be Two black and flat 2 pin electrical connectors dangling if the water valve was removed.

Take a look and let me know if your water valve is missing.
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

What you think is probably correct. Water valves can seep water and freeze the fill tube. Remove the ice maker and the fill tube remove ice from the fill tube and replace the water valve.

A GE Profile Model, double door refrigerator with a water leak

If the leak is on the refrig water valve where the wall water line connects to , then use a 1/2" wrench and tighten the fitting on the water valve itself . If the leak is on the plastic tubing at the bottom of the refrig water valve , pull up on the small white ring while pushing down on the plastic tube to remove it from the valve . Cut off about 1 " of the tubing and reinsert it into the valve with pretty good pressure to be sure it is inserted completely .

GE Profile Arctica refrigerator - water is leaking from the bottom of the solenoid where the plastic hose goes up to the water filter (on the outside of the refrigerator.

Turn off the water supply and check for cracked or broken water tubing/line. Make certain that there is teflon (white) tape on threads connecting water inlet hose from shut off valve at wall to water valve at refrigerator. If there is no apparent damage to tubing or hose, then your problem may be with a water valve solenoid that is not seating/closing tightly. Replace the water valve assembly, if necessary.

Note: If plastic tubing is damaged, etc., you can splice the tubing with a "coupler" and/or more tubing purchased from Home Depot or Lowe's.

Possibly the water inlet valve? Look at the water line on the back that goes up the back to the ice maker. The bottom end should be connected to the water inlet valve. This is also where the water supply from the house connects.

Ice maker water not shutting off

OK, The ice maker you hooked up the water to has a thermostat or a control board behind the front cover of the ice maker. I will need the model number of your GE to help you locate the problem. The photo below will show the most likely locations. Now because your ice make has not been used and just stayed inside the refrigerator for so long the controls inside the ice maker are stuck on telling the water control valve on the rear of your refrigerator to stay on or you can pull the refrigerator away from the wall and unplug the two wire connector that turns on the control valve side to the ice maker and if the water continues to flow then the water control valve will need replaced. Please let me know your results and rate and ask more questions as we solve this problem, Thanks, Sea Breeze
