Question about Canon PIXMA MP530 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Cogeco says they can only support use by fax machines using a method of transmission called "T30 Standard". They say my machine is a "Super Group 3" so mine won't work on digital phone. Can I change any of my fax machine settings so that it will work on my digital phone line?
