my phone has been going crazy to jumping around to different screens calling people and doing everything like it has a mind of its own. I called t mobile reported the problem they are sending me a new phone. I think tmobile just did some kind of something update and its not compatible with the first generation cliqs
It might have been dropped, the best thing to do is try to recalibrate it through the options and settings menu. Re-calibrate through your finger tips and if that doesn't work then it is defected if it has not been dropped. Try doing a factory reset through the options/settings menu, and always back up your data/contacts before you do. If you have a sim card, save your contacts to the sim card so the next time you turn on your phone or get a new one you will have all your contacts ready without having the hassle to enter them manually.
I forget my LG Vu (CU920) was in my pocket and I jumped in the pool. I was in the pool for about 10 minutes before I realized. It was full of water. I took the battery out as soon as I realized it. HERES HOW I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!
Step 1- I took it home, removed the screws on the back panel, and removed it. Now the entire back casing was off.
Step 2- I put the phone and battery (separate) in a bowl of uncooked rice. Sounds crazy but this absorbs all of the water. I left it in there for 2 days.
Step 3- After 2 days, I put the battery back in and everything turned on. Only problem was there was a big bubble in my LCD screen. I then took the phone apart further by popping of the front casing of the phone. I then try to get underneath the LCD to air it out, but I accidentally broke the LCD screen (inside the phone...not plastic outer screen).
Step 4- I went online and purchased a new LCD screen for around $40 from a cel phone parts website. I got it and installed it which was not too hard. You just have to remove all the visible screws (i believe there are 6) from the back side. Then pop off the front cover and the rest is pretty obvious.
Step 5- Put it all back together and it all worked again!
Step 6- My battery soon died after of all this...Im guessing from the water damage. I bought a new one online for around 20 bucks. Now the phone is good as new.
All in all spent 60 bucks and revived the Vu from water damage!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes when electronics are dropped in water, you can still use the. Circut boards have a silicon coat over the circut boards for instances like this. Depending on how long it was in the water, you may be able to still use it. Let the phone dry out for about 24 hrs (take out battery and back cover) then try to replace the battery and start it back up. If it doesnt turn on the circuts were affected and it broken.
Well the easiest way is:
1: press menu and jump to enter emergency call
2: press and hold down menu button and while holding menu down,
press jump and back simultanously.you should enter the jump screen.
After u do that, if u wanna use the phone your gonna have to erase
all the settings and do a master reset. Your going to need a tmobile
sim card, and sidekick log in info to use the phone, which you should
be able to get the login info by calling a T-Mobile CS agent.
Heres how u erase the flash and login info:
This is for the sidekick 2. It MAY work.
1) Remove your sim card
2) From the jump screen: Menu -> Settings -> System Info
3) Press Menu+Shift+X Select OK to clear the flash.
4) Press Menu+Shift+R Select OK to clear the login information.
5) Perform a hard reset now. This will reboot the device.
To perform a hard reset:
SK2 - Press the power button and reset button at the same time. Unit
will vibrate when reset. You can use a paper clip or similiar to hit
the reset button located behind the screen.
caring for the touch screen includes touching the screen with clean and DRY hands., if your phone fell in the water, it will likely damage the touch screen.. contact your nearest LG repair center.. i hope your phone will soon be fine..
Yes, I had the same problem. Here is what to do:
Just press the home button with the close/open button for about 10 seconds. Then, there should be a blank screen with the apple logo on the center. Let the iPhone/iPod touch rest for about a minute and it should be ok.
