When I try to get a ? mark I get E. What mode am I in?

I use the shift key to get the ? mark but I must be in another mode. It must have been done by accident and I can't correct it. What key do I use to get back to normal key use.

My calculator is to light and i have no 2nd key

The key is marked [Shift] on Casios, [2nd] on TI's, and [2nd F] on Sharps. I have seen some cheap calculators that mark the key as [Inv]. HP calculators are rather different in that respect.

When i hold down the shift key on my dell inspiron 6400 laptop i can not get it to capitalize or to type the upper level punctuation marks

Chances are your keyboard has a problem with it. I suggest that you try restarting your computer. Strange but it does the trick sometimes. If no go, go to safe mode.

SAFE MODE

Restart your computer. While it's restarting, tap F8 until you can see the option to go to safe mode. Use your keyboard arrow to highlight safe mode.

Try using the shift key in safe mode. If it works, then you need to do a system restore so that you can revert your computer's functionality to a date when it was still working well.

Hardwares like your keyboard is controlled by drivers. To avoid from getting driver problems in the future after fixing your current issue, then I suggest that you install Radarsync to your computer. It will automate your computer's updating and fixing (driver) mechanism.

I hope this helps.

Get rid of comma,

To switch the radix mark between the US and European modes, turn the calculator on, then press and release SHIFT, then press and release the decimal point key. You'll note that the shifted function of the key is marked "./," which should serve as a reminder that this functions switches between comma and dot.

A power is a shortcut for a reapeated multiplcation. 6^4=6*6*6*6,
Ob scientific calculators there is aspecial key to enter powers. The key is usually marked Y^x or X^y or just a caret ^.
If the marking is on top of the key you press the key, if the marking on the face of the calculator, you press 2nd, or 2ndF or SHIFT followed by the key near which the marking is.

Depending on setting, assuming that the keyboard is set to United States, the ? and / key are next to the shift key on the right side, bottom row. For a question mark hold down the shift key.

I have an acer aspire 7551-2755 and cannot for the life of me find out how to insert a ``question mark`` or the ``backspace`` hyphen mark

The question mark is the key that sits to the left of the right hand side "Shift" key. Use the shift key by holding it down, then hit the question mark key once while holding down the shift key. Let the shift key go, and you should see a question mark displayed. The hyphen mark key is the one to the right of the zero key. It is also called a minus key.

Good luck!

In the picture above the key is white but most of them are black. There are 2 shift keys at either ends of the keyboard with the trade mark up arrows on them.

Regards.
