My Porsche 911 Carrera 2002, go wet from heavy rain, it's making a strange sound, like rain hitting the sides of the doors, is the Engine immobilizer burnt, had about half an inch of water, under drivers seat. The car started, we dried it out, but now the car will not start. Checked fuses, all are in working order. The rain sound is gone, it now has a humming sound instead. I had to disconnect the battery to stop this sound, now I think it's the electronic chassis control module, how to know, before I order the part. Tks.
SOURCE: Alarm haywire, can't override anti-theft system or turn on car
The Alarm on my Mercedes ML320 sounded every night, then it started doing it more often, Showed it to the dealer he says it's the 'Tow Sensor', that needs to be repaced. $700, down the drain. I have already started hating this car, it eats $500-600, every 6 months...
