Question about Cooktops
The 50amp mcb trips when switched on the circuit has a bosch oven rated at 4400 and the hob is rated at 6600 the oven is fine but the hob trips on its own and with the oven 11000/230=47.8amps
You have a short to ground somewhere.
Was there a new cord installed on it or did the cord come already installed?
It could have been wired wrong causing a short to ground. there could be another wire touching the cabinet, a wire pinched by the cabinet.
You may have to trace down every wire with a continuity meter to find it, but its probably fairly obviose.
I'd start at the cord.
First try this, unplug the cord, turn the breaker back on just to make sure the problem is indeed in the unit not the receptacle or panel box.
If the breaker stays on, you know its in the unit.
