It sounds like you purchased a faulty cartridge. A very common problem, unfortunately. Try a new cartridge. I hope this helps

Hi Nolan,
Error code 5200 indicates that print head temperature error occurs. This error usually occurs in case of ink low or third party or refill ink usage.

Error code 5200 represent print head or cartridge temperature exceed specified value. It may be caused by the following condition: ink empty or usage of refill ink.
Please check which cartridge indicated by this error and replace it with new one. For Canon Pixma iP2770, this problem frequently caused by an empty CL811. Please refer to Canon Pixma iP2770 Service Manual for details.

Use warm water and a lint free cloth and clean all the ink around the cartridge area. I f that doesn't help I would try a new (not remanufactured) ink cartridge.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
