SOURCE: 4 alternator replacements in 4 years 1996 maxima

Has anyone looked at the connectors to the alternator? I remember these types of stories from work, alternator after alternator, found 2 things to be the problem, one is the connector to the alternator was defective, makes a poor connection and destroys the new alternator, the other is very poor quality rebuilds from Kragen, Auto Zone and the like, use a factory rebuild, they cost more but they are just as good as a new one.

SOURCE: headlights (low beams) and brake lights keep burning out.

Hi, it sounds like their is a bad earth somewhere causing it to short out this can be difficult to find as it would involve removing the lights and checking all the earth wires.
But first make sure the correct fuse is fitted because if someone has changed the fuse and put one on with the wrong amp then this would keep blowing.
If you look in the fuse box it should give you a diagramme of fuse location and the correct type check this first as this is something that would cost next to nothing to repair.
If the fuse are good then get the garage to check all connectors and earth wires.
Hope this is some help to you let me know if you need further assistance

My ford f150 1994 is not flashing on the left side

It can be as simple as burned out lightbulbs. If you have the type of 4-way flasher that mounts on the steering column, these models used the same contacts for the left and right signals. Sometimes the contacts get out of alignment.

Try pushing the 4-way flasher button 20 times and see if that realigns the switch so that it works for your side to side signal. You can also see if the left side works at all in 4-way mode.

WHERE IS THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR LOCATED

The 2002 Santa Fe came with three (3) possible powertrains (engines). The 4 cylinder, and two different V6 engines - i.e. 2.4L 4 cylinder, the 2.7L V6 and the 3.5L V6.

The crankshaft position sensor on the 4 cylinder and the 3.5L V6 are in the same place - Front Crank Shaft behind the pully (behind the timing belt cover.

On the 2.7L V6, the Cranshaft Position Sensor is located in the engine block (Left Hand Side)
near the flywheel (adjacent to the LH (Bank 2) exhaust manifold.

Note: Left Hand Side means the radiator side (front) Bank 1 is the firewall side.

Why would the right rear running light(tail light) constantly burn out. 4 new bulbs in last 4 months, 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. No problems with left tail light. Automatic, Air, 4 wheel drive, 200300...

I have a 2002 JGC as well and its the driver side one with mine. I changed the bulb this last time and used bulb lube to cover all the metal. It worked for a mile then went out again but didnt burn out this time. I checked the contacts on the base and noticed there was some rust, scraped off with blade and used more bulb lube on those contacts too, working for now.
