Has anyone looked at the connectors to the alternator? I remember these types of stories from work, alternator after alternator, found 2 things to be the problem, one is the connector to the alternator was defective, makes a poor connection and destroys the new alternator, the other is very poor quality rebuilds from Kragen, Auto Zone and the like, use a factory rebuild, they cost more but they are just as good as a new one.

hi first of all check ur fuses with a good test light see if any are blown and if u had cut any wires when u took out the old stereo that would have caused the problem..

Hi, it sounds like their is a bad earth somewhere causing it to short out this can be difficult to find as it would involve removing the lights and checking all the earth wires.
But first make sure the correct fuse is fitted because if someone has changed the fuse and put one on with the wrong amp then this would keep blowing.
If you look in the fuse box it should give you a diagramme of fuse location and the correct type check this first as this is something that would cost next to nothing to repair.
If the fuse are good then get the garage to check all connectors and earth wires.
Hope this is some help to you let me know if you need further assistance
