Question about Mitsubishi WD-65000 65" Rear Projection Television
I have full picture that displays okay, but I have a line going strait down the center of the screen that is about 3/8 inch wide. The line flickers with part of the line syncing into picture at times and sometimes the line is solid making the picture look like two windows. I do have a technical backgroud in electronic equipment and would like to fix this problem myself. Any assistence to guide me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- Lynn
Your tv has a trouble in vertical synchronization circuits. the symptom is characterised by the continuous or intermittent upward or downward rolling of the picture on the screen. this symptom is caused by a trouble in the integrated circuit or in the vertical oscillator circuit. good luck!

We have had issues like this that ended up being the digital convergence module. There are surface mount electrolytics that suffer from dielectric absorbtion (dry out) and they must be replaced. It's much easier to replace the module than to repair it, the convergence will need to be reset once this is done. If you have the original remote control you can gain access to the service menu to reset the digital convergence. Joe Weibel
