Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

FM radio not showing up

The fm radio no longer shows up on the main menu. It disappeared after doing a factory reset. How is this fixed? (If someone has the original files from a working player, maybe that might work if I could get those from someone)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My sansa screen is showing Arabic, I need to reset it to English.

power up by sliding up the power button on the left side, 'til it lights up. If it's not at the main menu with some picture icons (Settings, Music, Voice, FM Radio), then press the 'lil HOME button. Then scroll up or down to get to the SETTINGS menu (thats the one with the icon of four EQ switches on a board with animation of the 2 middle switches movin' up and down). Press the middle button (or right ">>I" on the circular pad). You should be at the Settings menu, scroll up or down and highlight the LANGUAGE option. Best way to find it when set in any language on this menu.... see an option that has some foreign text then FM? Thats the FM settings option, and the one above that is the LANGUAGE settings option, so highlight that one and press the middle button ( or right ">>I" on the circular pad), and you should be in language menu. Just scroll up or down to ENGLISH and press the middle button ( or right ">>I" on the circular pad). HTH!

Fm radio and recorder modes

On this model, the Power button and the Menu buton are the same key - press the Menu button to go to the main menu, and it will display FM and Voice options.

FM Radio was erased from the MP 3

OK this seems to easy a fix for you, but try it.
* In the main menu where it lists your options (and where FM Radio would be) press the 'Menu' button on your Microphoto (bottom right button) and there is an option to 'Configure Menu' and in there should be the option to show FM Radio again. Hope that helps you.

I have a similar, but different problem, so ill list below, maybe it will help someone out.

i also replaced the (broken) 8gb microdrive with 8gb compact flash in my Zen Microphoto, which worked flawlessly! BTW i bought the A-Data 'SPEEDY CF 8GB' from newegg.com.

My FM Radio still shows up, but only gets MONO sound on the Right channel, its very frustrating. i took it all apart again and made sure no connections were loose or broken, but everything seems perfect. i believe it to be a firmware issue, i think ill try to roll back the drivers. im using firmware 1.31.01.

its just annoying to have to roll back to Media Player 10 everytime just to install the firmware and have windows properly communicate with the zen... :[

CAN'T FIND THE FM TUNER IN THE MENU

  • The player may have to be formatted, which will erase the contents of the player. If you would like to manually update the firmware, please see below.
  • Please note that some firmware updates may format the player. Please read the installation notes for the firmware update before downloading it.

No FM Radio Available

Hi fitx-64

Every where you site this model on the web, it has an inbuilt FM tuner... you not even having that option is really weird. I take it you have been through the manual to see what is what? :)

There is a firmware upgrade for it here you could do that first and see how you go.

If that does not fix it, I suggest you take it to a Sony service center. I am sure they willl exchange it for you.

robotek

No FM Tuner Option

The FM radio feature did not come standard on all HDD1600 models - mostly they were on the European instead of the US variants - unfortunately, they did not consider this when they printed the manuals in Europe

No radio in menu. only music. voice .settings .

The service may not be available in your area. Make sure the headphones are connected to the player when searching for radio stations: Here's pg 15 of the user manual:

FM Radio (if applicable)
The Sansa
®
player includes an integrated FM radio for listening to live broadcast FM
stations. Please note that the FM Radio function may not be available in your region.
Listening to FM Radio
To listen to live broadcast FM station, follow these steps:
1. Select FM Radio from the Main Menu.
2. A radio frequency menu will appear.
3. Press |<< or >>| to adjust and search for the desired frequency, or select
preset by pressing Select.
4. For fast search, press and hold the |<< or >>| buttons.
