Question about Samsung CLP 300 Laser Printer
In middle of printing run, computer tells me to replace imaging unit
But there was nothing wrong with the unit, is this a way for samsung to generate more income by adding a chip to the imaging unit, As it happens i have another printer and i interchanged the units and i get the message from the unit and not the printer body. Maybe it could be a reset on the imaging unit. I estimate i have done about 4000 copies with the unit. If it is a chip in the imaging unit i will seriously not consider purchasing a Samsung again as this smacks of underhanded tactics. Any ideas
it is more likly that your OPC Image unit has print more than 25K +/-. that the printer will course the prompt.
press and hold the button of the printer for 5sec and let go. it will print out the supplier info of the printer life spend.
there is no way to reset the OPC count unless you work in Samsung.
