Hi,
For the exact instructions on how to enter the code properly on a Renault please visit this link.
You can also purchase your code directly from that site for only £3.50 if you need one which is very cheap as Renault will charge you £25 if you go direct to a dealer.
The site as accurate, fast and very reliable with good customer support.

I just got the backup cam for my car. where do I hook up the monitor for it to power up?

There should be a 12v DC Power Supply with it. Plug it into the cigarette lighter power supply.

How to resit service light on VW passatt 1.8T 2002

Try removing the negative and positive lead on the battery for fifteen seconds. Then, hold the contacts together for 10 seconds and then reinstall them. Next, leave the driver's side door OPEN and turn the ignition switch to ON (but DO NOT start the car) and let it remain there for 30 seconds. This should reset the check engine light.

Need video jack

I interfaced the SAVV LM-S6001 today. Here's what I found;

Looking straight on at the male 8 pin DIN connector here's how I'll describe it. There are 3 pins across the top row. From left to right I'll call them 8, 7, 6. There are 2 pins on the left side of the middle row, 5 leftmost and 4 adjacent to the center. Moving right, there is a gap and then pin 3 on the rightmost side of the middle row. There are two pins on the bottom row, pin 2 on left and pin 1 on right. Draw that on some paper.

8 7 6
o o o
5 o o o 3
o o
2 1

Pin 1 is +12VDC
Pin 2 is center contact of both audio and video RCA jacks
Pin 3 is -12VDC
Pin 4 is outer RCA contact for Video
Pin 5 -n/c
Pin 6 -n/c
Pin 7 -n/c
Pin 8 is outer RCA contact for Audio

Now, I don't know what pin 7 does, but it is wired next to pin 4 suggesting a video application, Svideo is my best guess. I can only test for a composite video connection that I am using.

It's alive!

I cant get a picture with my UV7i with or without the brake on

Its very simple splice the power wire "constant power" Red wire.

Next attatch the yellow parking switch wire to the constant power.

wallah... You can now watch movies on your in dash while driving! The deck thinks the brake is engaged

Alot easier then codes and pressing brake pedals and all that jive. They wont do it if your get it installed somewere so you have to do it yourself, its very easy
