Be sure to visit Memorex.com to get the latest update. There are still issues with playing recent FOX releases even with this update.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Why can't I record on my DVR?

Check all your connections and configuration between decoder to DVR and TV. I find it is more practical to use the DMI connectors for this purpose. Between my LG TV, LG DVR, LG Blue Ray Player and Decoder I use 3 DMI connector cables. Ideal for me because my TV has 3 DMI points, I just connect each of 3 items to TV via a DMI cable. Now connect decoder to DVR via video-audio cable (red-white-blue). This setup allows each unit to be used individually (i.e. tv viewing, recording, blue ray playing and when recording live TV the TV can be switched off while recording. Just remember to select the appropriate DMI connected unit on your TV remote (on "input" button).

Files not show/recognized when connected to the tv and movies not playing

Your movies have to be converted into .avi format. There are many websites to download video format conversions depending upon your PC's operating system. Once you have found the right software, you will have to attach your Ext HD, then open each movie & click 'Convert to AVI'. Once completed, you can delete the original. If you need more help come back to me.

I have viewsat lite and i want to get it updated and new files to get access to dish on demand

DISH on Demand (also known as Video on Demand) is available to DISH Network customers with certain receiver models. Movies are downloaded automatically to the hard drive of the receiver, giving you the choice of which movies you would like to watch. I have provided a link to our Website, www.dishnetwork.com, with the requirements and movies available. I hope this helps.

LG 399d - new - trying to play Avatar movie via the USB port - will not recognise this movie format. In DVDSCR AC3 XVID. AVI. Other movies same format play well not this one. Why? What to fix it? Dave

It is probably a corrupted copy,or perhaps the codec is slightly different from the one, used by player, there could be many reasons indeed. It could be a bad "Header" file. Try re doing the copy again, and see.

I just got a blu-ray player and when I play some of the movies it will not come through the speakers. I have a surrond sound system that plays well on some movies and also plays the bonus features, but not...

DVDs have more than 1 sound track on them. That is to say different sound codings. You may well have to select the correct sound track on the dvd to suit your surround sound sysyem, this will be found in the options screen of the dvd (thestart menu).
Failing that, you may need to change the sound coding on your surround system to suit a particular film.

My Iomega Screenplay 500 isn't working

Your Iomaga Hard Drive is broken. The clicking noise is the heads ggrinding off the palate and this problem can not be fixed. If your player is less then 1 year old it is guarenteed and should be replaced. Otherwise, it the hard drive inside needs to be replaced!

DVD Movie

The reason I never completed my request was because I didn't realize right away that I do not even have a DVD drive. I only have a CD-rom. I know I sound pretty dumb, but I just took for granted that if I could burn CD's I could burn a DVD. Thanks for your help and consideration. Your program sounds great and I will keep it in mind for when I upgrade my PC. Thanks again!
