My subwoofer shuts off after about 2- 3 hours of use... Is it just getting too hot and going into safe mode?

If the computer is overheating it will shut down to save the hardware from heat damage, the temp is pre set. It may get hot, due to air flow in a minute or and hour. What does the "screen comes up says problem " say? Check the fan and vents for dust and clean, improve air flow around bottom vents and side vents. Perhaps a Laptop Cooler? When the computer shuts down unepectedly, the computer see it as a crash and will load in that option screen. Run a 'Check Disk" on the OS drive buy opening computer in start menu, right click the drive with the OS (C), open properties, Tools, Check now, choose all options, follow instructions, reboot.

Are you getting it to load up to windows completely? If so and it shuts off withing 3 minutes maybe you have a virus or infection.

Try booting up into Safe Mode to see if it shuts off or stays on.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Open your internet browser and download and install MalwareBytes.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

If you machine still shuts off after 3 minutes maybe it is running hot.

3 things that cause a computer to run hot.

1. Dust, dust in the vents, dust around the fans, cpu and heatsink.

2. A fan that is not working

3. The Thermal Paste around the Cpu and Heatsink has dried up or is too thin to keep the unit cool.

One sign of a computer overheating is to turn it back on immediately after it shuts off. if it will not power back up and stay on then it is running hot. If you let it sit a while then turn it back on and you are successful, then it was running hot.

Try leaving the radio turned on for an hour or two. This should allow the radio to get out of safe mode so you can enter the code.

Do you have the correct code? If you have the right code, try leaving the radio on for an hour or two, You should then be able to enter the correct code.

I am no expert by a long shot but is the fan running in safe mode is it overheating and shutting down?

start on safe mode and use recovery mode next time do not close before it completly updated

Check that you have not set the sleep timer on so that it goes off after 1 hour

Try this, if you have a fast hand, the second it boots, push Ctrl+Shift+Esc and end taskeng.exe.
If you can't do it fast enough, try booting into safe mode, going to scheduled tasks, and removing any suspicious ones.
If you don't know how to boot to safe mode, push f8 until you see a screen which allows you to choose safe mode.

First:

does this also happen in safe mode boot. (press F8 just before windows boots). If not then go to your event viewer and check the messages at the specific time,hour messages. for example. computer booted at 23:30. in windows around 23:31:10 and then blue screen. Go to safe mode. and look in the logs what registered at 32:31:10(around this time).

If not possible to boot in safe mode. Try to remove one of the 2 memory dimm(if you have 2). so you boot with 1. maybe 1 of them doesn't work good anymore.

Check your grounds, and all of your wiring. Does it just shut off or does it blink and go into protection mode?
