Question about Cuisinart DLC-8S Pro Custom Food Processor
I'm posting a problem that I fixed on my DLC 7 PRO. One day it "sparked" near the bottom and threw the circuit breaker and stopped working. I opened it up by turning it over and removing the 4 screws that hold the base on (three are under rubber feet pads - pry these off carefully to get to them.) After inspecting all the wiring and components I located the problem - two wires attached to the circuit board were too close together and had shorted out - perhaps some dust or something conductive like a piece of foil and gotten into the unit. The fix was moving all the wires in that area apart and then filling the space between them with hot glue from my hot glue gun. I also re-attached the rubber feet pads using hot glue.
