Wrong product key

The product key underneath my laptop, isn't matching to what i type in.

    do you meen it does not have enough or too many characters?  it may be the product key

    when you type how does it not match? when do the letters/numbers change?

    Just a bit of clarification as the way your sentence is worded implies that you are typing in the product key incorrectly and doesnt provide us much of an opportunity to help.

    Can you please reiterate what you are trying to do? Are you re-installing Windows?

The key underneath your laptop is for the version of windows that came pre-installed. If you are trying to re-load windows using a different disk then the key underneath your laptop will not work, you will need the key for the disk you are using which is normally either on the disk itself or on/in the case that it came with.
