Hey got a good one for ya....The TV had fallen and there is a corner on the plastic cabinet that is broken away. When plugged in and turned on the blue power on indicator will light up and you can hear a relay click on the power supply board. There is no sound and nothing displayed on the screen.I have examined the surface of all of the circuit boards and cannot see any signs of overheating ,discolorations, breaks ,cracks on the boards or components. The LCD panel when looked at in strong light at every angle shows no visible cracks. The LCD does not power up. Help ?

LCD sets sometimes will not power up until the backlight boards power up. the backlight boards have SMT fuses that open. and driver FETs (commonly also SMT) that short.
check the backlight circuits first.

The screws holding it in may have come loose or fallen out. Keep it upright, and remove the back, if the plastic is broken try hot glue to secure it in place.

Hey, I brought my Fender 212R back frm a gig the other day and when i turned it on last night the reverb was dead, simply not working at all. I checked the back of the tank and its plugs were firmly...

Your amp uses a "reverb tank" that has two or three springs that are suspended. One end of these springs are driven by a transducer and the other end the vibrations are picked off with another transducer. If you dropped the unit, possibly the two cables that go to this tank on the bottom of the cabinet have come loose. other possibilities are the transducers have been damaged... or one of the cables has broken or the electronics that drives this and receives the return has broken. If you are not electronically adept, the only DIY is to check that the cables that plug into the reverb tank at the bottom of the cabinet are connected. The tank is often covered with black cloth like plastic and the cable have RCA type plugs that plug into it.

How do you get to the door switch?

The easiest way to get to the lid switch, there are 2 plastic snap on pieces on the display part of the cabinet. Reach your hand over the back corner an pop th corner plastic covers off. There will be two screws under those plastic pieces. Flip the control board over and there will be two metal clips. Release them, unplug the lid switch( the only plug under control board) then lean cabinet back towards yourself and slide back.Pretty self explanatory from there.

How do you open console on whirlpool LSN2000JQ2 TO REPLACE LID SWITCH? Do I have to do from the rear or front? There seem to be two plastic tabs on both sides in the back. How do they comes off?

DO NOT REMOVE PLASTIC TABS!
Access is from the front. Remove screws located in the rear corners of the side trim pieces of the control panel. Control panel slides forward and then you can swing it up. You'll see metal brackets on both corners attaching the rear wall to the cabinet. Remove brackets. Disconnect plug with 3 wires on the cabinet. Pull cabinet up-forward.

Good luck!

After rinse cycle, water drains but laundry does not spin out. Sopping wet clothes.

Could be a bad lid switch.
Could be a bad direct drive coupling.
Could be a bad timer.

Remove the 2 screws holding the control console to the top panel. They are on the left and right corners.Pull the console forward slightly and fold it to the rear of the machine. You will see a wiring plug in the top of the cabinet . Unplug this plug. Use a volt meter set for continuity and place the meter leads in the plug receptacle on the cabinet. One lead on the right hand pin,one lead on the left hand pin. With the lid closed it should read continuity. Open and close the lid while touching the meter leads to the pins, the meter should show contact while closed and no contact while open. If there is no contact, replace the lid switch.

If the lid switch is OK, remove the 2 metal brass clips holding the corners of the cabinet to the back panel.Pull the cabinet forward to remove it. UNPLUG THE WASHER. Get on the floor and remove the wires to the motor. Remove the clips holding the water pump to the front of the motor. Remove the 2 clips holding the motor to the transmission. Remove the motor. There will be a plastic piece on the motor shaft,a rubber gasket, then a plastic piece in the transmission shaft. The plastic pieces have 3 plastic pins on them. They may be broken off. The plastic pieces may also be stripped inside where they mount on the motor and transmission shaft. If these are defective buy a new direct drive coupling and install it. The front of the coupling should be flush with the motor shaft and transmission shaft when correctly installed.

If the direct drive coupling is OK. Replace all the parts and re-assemble the washer. PLUG IT IN. With the lid closed. Set the machine to the final spin cycle and turn it on.If you hear the motor running and no spin, open, then close the lid. If it spins then it is a bad timer.

Lid switch is broken on model 11025852400 sears kenmore washer 80 series. how do you replace it

Good day,
1. There are 2 screws. one on each bottom corner of the control console. The may be hidden by plastic end caps that have to be uncliped. Remove screws, and lift slightly on the console and rotate away from you.
2. Underneath you will see 2 bronze colored spring clips, and a three wire plug. Unplug the three wire connector, and with a decent size screw driver, place in the well of the clips and pop them off.
3. You will be removing the whole cabinet. Top, front, and both sides as one piece.
4. Slide the cabinet forward a few inches, then tilt it over until the front is laying on the floor.
5. There are 3 distinctly different switch arrangements. 2 have a pin on the side of the lid, which depresses the switch. Purchase and replace everything, including the depressing pin.
6. The third type is totally hidden with no depressing pin. It explains itself.
7. Reinstalling the cabinet, is a lot harder than pulling apart, due to alignment problems. Having 2 people helps. The bronze clips take a lot of pressure to re-install as well.

Cabinet removal

Unfortunatly no there isnt. The tv bottom contains all the circuits, color guns, speakers. From where the bottom of the screen starts to the top is all part of the entire cabinet which is molded plastic. The top part contains a mirror and the screen you see as well as possibly a remote sensor. Short of sawing it in half and tossing it away you could take it apart but this would have to be done completely to gain you the most space and could be dangerous considering the high voltage transformer that the unit uses to power the color guns.
