Mine was doing this too, try several things:
Disable AVG. Aparently mine was conflicting with the printer. I need new anti-virus software now :(

From page five of the printer owner's manual:

(You may need to connect the printer with the USB cable during this process)

Changing wireless settings after installation To change wireless settings on the printer, such as the configured network, the security key, or other settings: Using Windows 1 Do one of the following: • In Windows Vista, click . • In Windows XP, click Start. 2 Click Programs or All Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list. 5 3 Click Tools Œ Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility. Note: If the cable is not already connected, you may be prompted to connect the printer to the computer again using the installation cable as part of the setup process. 4 Follow the prompts on the computer screen to reinstall the software, and then make the changes that you want. Using Macintosh 1 From the Finder desktop, double-click the printer folder. 2 Double-click Lexmark Wireless Setup Assistant. 3 Follow the instructions on the computer screen

How to print two sides

If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

I have poor print quality on my Lexmark 4550

That obviously shouldn't happen. Did you print an alignment page after you inserted the new cartridges? There could also be some clogged nozzles on the new cartridges. If you haven't contacted Lexmark technical support through www.lexmark.com, suggest you do so.

Black will not print properly

your cartridge is about 100 pages of ink. Try to buy #16 black and #26 color for best results and economy, since #16 have about 250 pages resource.

Lexmark Z600 ONLY print test pages

Seemes very daft, and sounds like a twit, but not really.

When I recieved the new cartridge I placed it in the correct cartridge retainer in the printer matching up the dark green colour of the cartridge and the top clip, and it printed nothing even after a tryed re-seating it.
So I placed it in the other thinking maybe I somehow might have placed it in the wrong slot, so I placed it in the other (Colour), and set that up as I did the other, and it printed a blurred page but then stopped printing.
After that I then placed it back in the other cartridge retainer, set it up as the previous times when it did not work, and then it worked.

Seems strange and simple, but it did not work the first time at all, and after faffing with it finally did.

This might help someone, and then again might not.

I had this problem with my Compaq laptop and X7350 and I contacted Lexmark and they gave me a patch to run called "UACpatch.exe" or something like that and it fixed my problem.
