I have a clear bright green vertical line on my laptop screen

It's on the right side of the screen and the width is about the same as a strand of hair.

This sounds like the LCD inverter it could be getting ready to go, usually you will start seeing flickers as well, it may just be a faulty connection in the LCD either way, it's best to have someone look at it before the display goes all together.

Hope this helps

Why does my TV show discolored vertical bands and can I fix it at home?

The T-con board controls the picture elements on the screen. Usually replacing this board will solve the problem. If you can touch the screen and the lines disappear and later reappear, that says the screen itself is defective. The only fix is to replace the entire screen.

At the right side of my dell there is a clear bright green line vertically down the screen i dont know why it just apperaed one day

You may be lucky and its just a loose connection.
You will need to remove the frame on your lid(around the screen) and reconnect the ribbon cable where it attaches to the motherboard.
If its a faulty screen you will need to decide if its worth fixing. screen are about £90

Green vertical line down right side of screen probably 1 pixel in width. It showed up after a night on standby as soon as it came on

You TFT drivers are failing in your LCD panel, not much you can do, you will get more lines as time goes by, more transistor for driving the TFT will fail.

I have a very thin bright green vertical line on my laptop screen

If it is always there, then you are going to need a new monitor. If it comes and goes then it could be drivers or hardware.

Vertical lines in my laptop screen

if this line is there during boot up then it is a monitor problem usually. but if it is not then it is a problem with your windows files. you could try reinstalling your windows from the disks you were given with it? otherwise i will look into it. email me if you need more help. milliprowd21@yahoo.co.uk

One green vertical line in HDTV Vizio 42

Try changing the H/V position in the TV Set Up menu. You can adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the screen and move it enough that the green line disappears from the screen.

Convergence not lining up

Sounds like the green is out of focus. If the focus control for the green does not control it enough to make the width the same as the red, then, the lens on top of the green can be adjusted to focus that tube. On the lens, there is a wing nut on a screw to loosen it and move the lens left or right a bit to help with the focus. Hope this helps.

Vertical green line on screen

If your set is a plasma, this can be one of two problems : either there is a loose connection (one of many, many connections) between the plasma screen and the driver board, or one of the transistor devices has blown. Try GENTLY applying pressure to the opposite ends of the TV to give it a subtle "twist" (please be careful!). Sometimes moving the set to a different location will produce the same effect. If it's still under warranty, call your dealer. Vertical stripes are a common fault with plasma technology I'm afraid! :-( Next time, go for LCD!
