In side of your left wire there are two tiny coper wires (either blue/green/Red and gold) one of which is easily cut off.
Peel off the wire cover (Dont cut it off) near the earphone head (normally not more than an inch) to findout where one of the colored wire is cut off and fix it.
Note: Before you could join or fix this broken one firstly you need to burn up the color coded wire with fire for a SECOND so that all the color (green/Red...) are cleaned up.

If this dont fix Please tell me. Im here to help you

Good Luck!

Hello, one thing to try if you haven't is to try the headset on another appliance to rule out the headset if you can, if not then the problem is either in the the phone jack or in the earphone itself, my experience has been that any time you try to replace the jack or open the earphone and try to reconnect the problem wire, it breaks, trying to replace the jack is useless since the wires are so fine it's next to impossible to make a right connection, as for the earphone you can try to open it up and reconnect the wire but since it may be short in the wire, it's a slim chance you will succeed but since it's not working you have little to lose, except time. It's your call, usually it's best to just replace it, it's not worth the frustration.

Left ear does not work (very very weak sound)

try a regular cheap set of headphones on that device .If its the same ,then the audio device is the problem.Or try those sets of headphones on another audio device , computer,tv,cd or stereo receiver. If you are using any kind od adaptor inbetween those headphones and the audio device ,then check that..If they sound the same on any known good device..Then its possible they are bad ..let me know

What can I do to fix a cable issue in my headphone? The right side doesn't work unless I move around the wire attached to the headphone.

Hi, what makes oneofthe earphones not to work,is because the wire inside the right side of the earphone hascut and will need to soldered back to it's position.

Open the right side of the earphone, and use a soldering iron and a lead to put back the wire properly.
after put back the wire, problem solved.

Thanks for using fixya..

Can Acer laptop drive the Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer?

sure can, any standard sound amplifier can take a signal from the stereo earphone jack and amplify with fantastic results.

Just need to go to Radio Shack or Walmart, or another department store to get the right adapter (stereo to stereo, or stereo to mono) and cord.

Note the number of contacts on the earphone plug that plugs into the earphone jack. If it has three different connections on the plug, it's stereo. If it has only 2 then it is mono.

Most computers I know of have the stereo plug which works with stereo inputs of an amplifier.

So, the answer is a resounding yes.

I am only getting sound in the left earphone of my Samsung SBH500 headphones. I just got them and the right earphone did not work upon receipt, should I return them or am I missing something?

There must be some fault with the pin you inserting. adjust the pin and see whether u get signal in both sides.
orelse chnage the audio settings of the audio u play.. like if it is in stereo change it into mono, left or right.
if it is not working change the headphone. it is a faulty one.

Left side of earphones don't work

I have the same problem as well. you just have to take the headphones out, and not put them in all the way. just put them in partway, wait until you can hear out of both.

Panasonic RR-830

The headset you are using is a stereo headset. This unit uses a mono headset. Look at the end of the headset. If there is 2 black rings, it is stereo. You can get a stereo to mono adapter at Radio Shack for about $2.50.

Sansa E250 Left Earphone Issue

I have the same problem and read on other forums that it was because of a MusicEQ glitch and that if you swtched it to a non-Normal mode and then back to Normal, the problem would fix itself. This didn't work for me, but maybe it will for you.

(Just got off the phone with Sandisk Tech Support and they basically told me to update to the latest firmware, but that didn't work either so they said that they didn't know what else to tell me and let me go. Not exactly helpful.)
