My HP 7410 All in One says there is a paper jam and I cannot get it to reset.

Check all the paper path, make sure all of the door and flap are close. restart the printer by unplg it from the outlet and replug it back in.

It say carriage jam


Hi friend,

What probably happened is that paper jam caused the carraige alignment sensor to get out of place or to get covered, moved, etc and the printer doesn't know what to do...

What I would suggest trying is, unplug the printer, try pulling the carraige out to the center and then close it and plug it back in, see if this kicks it enough to reset itself.

Carriage return error does not stop.


there is a piece of paper jammed.Follow clearing paper procedure.If there is no paper jam push the reset button

Paper jam


There is a black removable door in the back of the printer that you remove and pull out the jammed paper from. It should press back into place.

There may be an access door in the rear with a big knob to remove it.

try seeing at the censor feeder of your printer, may be it has small piece of paper which unnoticeable. see to it its turn off before you pull everything.
