Question about Diesel Audio NS-D099 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

No disc We just bought a car with the DVD player already installed. When we put the DVD in says "load", but then quickly spits the DVD back out and says "no dvd". Any ideas as to what we're doing wrong?

Dvd player keeps ejecting the dvd after you put it in. When you put in a dvd it starts to load then within aprox. 3-4 seconds it ejects the dvd!

Try multiple DVD's if not that a lens cleaner can be found at your local Best Buy to clean the laser that reads the disc. Also make sure the DVD mode is not locked down to only working if the parking break on, video screens that are sold are sold with a safety feature so you can not watch a DVD while driving and only if the parking break is on.

DVD player will not play disc.

If you are loading a store bought DVD and that it what it say's. The transport needs to be replaced. roughly 150-200. If you are loading "burned" DVD's the format may be wrong and the unit cannot read it. Best suggestion I can give you is to first buy a "Laser Lens Cleaner" on that uses fluid. Any electronics store sells them for 15-20. Run it thru the unit a couple of times then try a clean, store bought DVD. If it plays, problem solved. With your DVD's, if you have any liquid car polish like mother's or meguiars, put a couple drops on the disc and spread around with your finger, let it set a couple then buff off with a microfiber towel. This works wonders for old scratched cd's and dvd's and helps protect new ones from getting scratched. As for the Lens cleaner, run it thru every product you have that uses discs 3 or 4 times a year, it's the best preventative maintance and only maintanance you can do on a CD player DVD or PC. Hope this helps

The eject button is the load button on our 2005, maybe the same for you. Just hold it in for a few seconds and it should spit out your cd. You should be able to lightly put the cd up to the insert space and it should take your cd. If your cd player holds multiple cds then perhaps there are some in there that have not been ejected. Hope this works for you.

Stuck DVD

im not resposible for anything here but try this. stick another disc in only about half way or as far as it will go up to that point. when the loading mechanism in the player sees another disc trying to come in, it pops up to accept the disc. it should spit your stuck disc back at you while holding the new disc in your hand.

Can you help? Stereo does not take in any discs

I think you have a mechanical problem with the load and eject mechanism. Either a spring or a gear has popped out of place or may be a switch got stuck and malfunction. If you are mechanical incline just open the unit up and look for anything that look out of place, becareful and remember what goes where so you can put it back in order. That is how I fix mechanical problem. Good luck.

Disc won't load

Hi, I had the same problem with my PMD-100NT. I found that there was a motor inside that, I think, was moving the laser head was skipping and the head was not moving into position. I hooked a portable to the external jacks and I am just using it as a monitor. I am if you have any questions.
