Question about Bell BE-412CID Corded Phone
How do you turn on the ringer?? Display shows :ringer turned off". We would like to turn it on . We no longer have the user manual.
With the reciver left on press the right ringer button

I thought my cat must have hit some secret code to stop me from fixing this annoying problem... but here's the solution.
A) the button under the sliding "Bell" logo hit it once
B)either hit 3 OR scroll down to #3 in the menu.(by using the up down buttons that you use to scroll through your callers list)
C) hit the "louder speaker" button (the right side of the 'bar' under the number pad)
D) you should hear the phone ring after that !!!
E) YEAH!!! congratulations you've been fixed!!! ~Corin

You can turn off the ringer completely so it no longer makes an audible sound when the phone receives an incoming call. The phone's ringer options can be accessed in the handset's menu.
Press the "Menu" button on the phone.
Press the up or down arrows until the phone's display says "Ringer Volume."
Press the "Select" button on the phone.
Press the up or down arrows until the phone's display says "OFF."
Press the "Select" button to save your settings.
