I have a similar problem. I used the clean function on the stove and when it finished an F1 code appeared on the display and the internal fan in the oven runs constantly! I unplugged the oven but that did not solve the issue! Another web site suggested I replace the electric control unit. Any suggestions?

Is it really the stove beeping or the control pad in front? Also, is this for the SVE47600 model?

Yes trhe stove have a swich behind every knob one of them is bad on the on position, remove allthe knobs and the knob panel to get to the swiches, and remove one at a time intel noise stops thats the one needs changing. or it may be that the are wet.

I cant get my stove to stop beeping. f1 error

You need to get the exact model number and make of this stove. Get ready for a bad circuit board to be the culprit, because electronic stoves are pretty much unfixable by mechanical means and the problem usually comes from a bad capacitor, corroded or overheated circuit board.

When you get your model number and make, go to YouTube and just type in your model stove and ask "how to repair a F1 error code on a blah blah stove". There are so many video's there on how to repair things with actual instructions and pictures. It's great.

How do I fix my stove? None of the radiant elements are working.

Have you confirmed that you do have 220 volts at the range outlet? If you don't, turn your breaker off then on and recheck the voltage with a meter. Any losses of voltage through the breaker indicates you may have a bad breaker. (Do this with the stove unplugged from the stove power receptacle). Next, have you pulled one of the elements off the stove and checked it with an ohm meter to see if you have continuity. No continuity indicates the element circuit is incomplete and the element needs to be replaced (you should have a reading on the ohm meter if the element is good).

Hi there. Our Moffat stoveModel 24K60 has been in service since 1966, and, with a few minor service calls is still ticking along. No pun intended, but that's the problem. The clock is not only...

Hello there schematics for your unit will be next to impossible to find on the internet. My guess is that your unit uses a manual type timer as units that old usually have the timer independent of the other functions of the unit.therefore you wont be able to find any wires which power the unit. Mostly the timer will run on its own as a result of sensors on the unit. Both options which you have considered are gud but lubricating the bearings seems more likely although getting at it might be a bit difficult what you need is a watch expert usually they have methods of loosing out the entire clock mechanism taking it for servicing and fixing it back on your unit this way the bearing noise will stop. Also if you decide to take of the clock completely the same procedure applies.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

My stove beeps and flashes F1 after having the stove on for a few minutes

Hi - F1 indicates a fault in one or more circuits on control board. No good news here. Boards range from 150-250$ + install. Usually fail during 'self-clean' or as techs call it- 'self-destruct'. Let me know if info is helpful- Thanks- ED

I get failure code F9-3

What a scam by service personnel.
-Simply press "Stop/Clear", then gently push the door handle until "Lock" appears on the screen. Press "Stop/Clear" again and the door unlocks itself!

Electric stove oven does not obtain proper temperature and does not cycle

This is a very generic question. If it is an old electric range with mechanical controls, the thermostat may not be cycling properly. Most new electric ranges use electronic sensors which send a signal to a board. This signal changes as the temperature changes. Technically, the resistance of the sensor changes with the temperature and that resistance is the input for the circuit board. The circuit board then adjusts the temperature according to the signal it is receiving from the sensor. A good technician should be able to check the resistance in the sensor to see if it is within acceptable range. If the sensor is good, they would be able to troubleshoot the board or other controls.

Kenmore Stove Glass top

Hello,

I have a Kenmore glass stove, not sure what the model number is I don't have it with me right now. Yesterday, the timer started to beep and F1 started to flash in the display. The stove top is working, but the oven does not. The only way I can get the timer to stop beeping is to unplug the stove.

Any suggestions as to what is going on with this stove. It's only 4 years old.

Thanks

Heat and moisture (steam) kills the electronics in any control. but if the mark are on a circuit then there was a short in a circuit. I would check the series if your stove( first two numbers in the serial number)if it is a early series. for sure that they have make improvements in the control. And a Replacement controls will have all the improvement and revisions. good luck and let me know what you do..kraztech

Beeping, flashing, oven door locked, display shows F-1

F1 Defective touch pad or membrane Replace touch pad or membrane (this problem is usually the touch pad) F1 Watchdog on board Replace touch pad or clock assembly (also called the ERC) BUT you also need to check the Oven Temperature Sensors The Oven Temperature Sensors should read room temperature, 70°F, the resistance is 1000-1200 ohms. make sure you pull off the wires to measure the sensor's resistance and it reads open it is bad. and you will have to replace it too. hope this helps.
