I would say that you need to download new drivers. I would also download the chipset driver. Here is the website:http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T2895 If that doesn't do it, you could have a failing motherboard. I have had to refurbish quite a few of these EMachines due to bad motherboards.
Open up the side of the computer and look at the motherboard, there will be several little barrel shaped things sticking off of it. These are called capacitors. If the top is bulging, or leaking, or corroded then they are bad. You need to have someone replace these, or replace the motherboard. Odds are, it will be more cost-effective to get a new computer (unless you find someone to repair it cheap)

USB ports on car stereos are not designed to be universal, regardless of what the USB acronym implies. They are typically designed for a specific product, either iPhone, Android, Blackberry, or a combination of those. They usually work with a blank flash drive (no operating system on it). That would be my recommendation: Buy a flash drive. $5-$10 invested will probably get you more storage than the GoGear and will work with USB.

The reason USB sounds better than the auxiliary input is because with auxiliary, the D-to-A (Digital to Analog) conversion is done by the GoGear, while with USB it is being done by the car stereo.

After loading the system shows error 'cannot recognize usb port'

Hi,

According to your problem, first make sure that the USB port of your system is OK and working fine. Connect another plug and play USB device to this port or move to another USB port. Check that you have connected the USB cable properly. You can reinstall the driver and reboot the printer and the system both by follow the instruction of printer installation manual. Check the USB cable of the printer or replace the cable. It will help you.

I'm trying to sync an apple ipod shuffle 4th generation to my windows xp pc. The famous USB device not recognized thing pops up. What do i need to do so i can use and sync my ipod.

Shutdown Windows.
Turn the computer off.
Unplug the AC power cord.
Reconnect the AC power cord.
Restart the PC.
This will eliminate many "intermittent" problems.

Now, connect some other USB device (mouse? keyboard? memory-stick?) into the USB port, to confirm that the USB port is working, at least for some USB device.

Now, connect the iPod to one of the USB ports.
If it is not recognized, connect the iPod to a different USB port.

This should work.

I called Dynex customer support and they walked me through the troubleshooting process. It turns out there was a problem or conflict with one of my usb ports. The port recognizes my flash drive and other usb devices but not the mouse. I tried using the other two remaining ports and the mouse was recognized and works just fine.
