Sanyo DS24425 Intermittent Discoloration

Just left and right of center there are two oval areas that will turn green/purple if that area is white/light brown for more than approx 30 seconds. Color will slowly return to normal when image changes. Purchased a Sanyo DS24425 but returned after a few weeks for another of same model. New one is doing same. Powering off/on will clear problem, but it will return when those area are white/light brown again. DVD and VCR are located 30" below TV. Nothing else electronic within 5' of TV. Any help is appreciated.

    I have the same issue.

Could this be an issue that a degauss could correct?

It seems like this problem would have to be with the picture tube itself, although I have never run into this symptom in over 30 years of servicing TV's. If the CRT is still in warranty I would get it checked out. Otherwise it probably not be worth repairing. If you end up replacing the set, check out the Toshiba 24" model. I have had good luck with that model in the past.

Hello, I have a JVC HD-61FN97 TV. I had to replace the old lamp (recommended by the TV's timer)with a new lamp. I clean out some dust in the housing and installed the new lamp. It looked great! but...

Did you use an after-market lamp?
Sometimes after-market lamps cause this defect. Even if it is the OEM lamp, I think it is worth to try a new lamp. I would return the one just purchased as defective.

How do i eliminate the vertical green lines on the projected area?

Sadly the LCD/DLP wafer is failing, and the problem will progressively get worse. The DLP wafers can be replaced but it may cost as much as replacing the entire projector with an updated one. SORRY!

Tv wont turn on. we've had some lightning in area.

check your powersupply AC fuse and. your DC fuse. they are marked F1, F2, etc.on the circuit board and, are usually glass tubes with metal ends you should see a wire inside connected to both ends if the wire is broken replace the fuse

LCD Dell Monitor displaying purple and green rather then picture.

sounds like your monitor is starting to go out. if there are any speakers near your monitor, it is likely magnetic interference. try moving your monitor to a different area and see if it still does this. if it does, i would replace the monitor. if it doesn't, just simply reorganize the area around your monitor and it should go away after degaussing the screen.

Screen discoloratiom area

It's definitely your VCR that is causing the problem. Move your VCR, if you don't get any results you need to send it to repair.
