    1. to make sure your woofer is working: touch the pin that you plugin into computer and observe the sound. I mean it should make a sound each time you touch by your finger (like duup duup dupp)

    2. YOu can check your sound driver is working fine,
To do that go to All Program > Accessory > Entertainment > Volume Control

If it says like there is no hardware then you need to reinstall the driver
     Best luck!

My subwoofer powers on, but I get no sound out of speakers or subwoofer and all of connections are correct.

First off....never connect a speaker when the amp is on or vice versa. Second, I would get a tone generator and test that the speakers have not been ruined and check the amp to make sure you did not blow that. Most amps have a protective circuit to prevent damage from over heating or hooking up wrong. Also make sure that you have enough output wattage for the way you have them wired..

How do you hook these speakers up

if they have wires or usb plug connections or if wireless might be a usb input device you plug in
you will need to connect your speakers to your computer then you will need to install them to your computer
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any sound settings by right clicking on the speaker icon

then you are ready to position your speakers if you have more than 2 you might need to select stereo

if you need more help with this post a reply

hope this helps

if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer hope this helps

the circuit board and amplifacation supply inside the sub are blow or shorted out.thus preventing any sound. the head phone jack works only because it is a bypass feature supported by the actual computer not the surround sound unit

Speaker hook up

Krout
depending on the speakers, (2 way ) you can use a splitter, but you also hace to check if your sound card support 2 speakers too, or what brand its?
but the splitter in this case , if you have no other problem, is the best bet.
good luck
