Question about HP LaserJet 1300 Printer
All covers are on, Toner cartridge replaced, Doors closed. Paper in feed tray. Powered off then on. Yellow light still blinking.
This was a difficult jam with a label wrapped around a rear roller near the straight through exit. Machine appears to be caught in mid cycle, the paper tray is in the raised position.
If this if a office printer its bound to have stuff fall into it like staples or paperclips. these things fall under the tray and get stuck underneath the paperout flag so firstly take the printer turn it upside down nb remember to remove the toner cartridge then shake it to get anything loose thats stuck in it.if you have done this and the problem persists then you have to strip the front section of the printer and clean out all unecassary things stuck in there.
The other problem could be that the toner does not connect properly. when you close the front door there is a pin that comes out and connects with the cartridge of the printer. this pin could be jammed or even dirty as toner get stuck on it. this pin earths the drum on the cartridge and if it does not connect then the jam light flashes
I have found alot of things like money, dust and lots of foreign objects stuck under the tray. If you can do it yourself then it is best to get a qualified service technician todo so for you
