I have an old ariete centro caffe espresso machine with a coffee grinder. I filled up the resevoir with water and it seems that the pump is not pumping the water through the machine. My question is does it have to be primed, but, how do you do that? Please help. Thanks.
After being in storage for awhile the machine Needs the pump primed Unplut it and let it sit until it is Cold, May take several hours. With the water reservoir full, plug the unit in, Turn on the power and Immediately turn the control knob to "Coffee" and the water should begin filling the cup I forgot to tell you to place under the spout. Or if yopu can find the original instructions follow those.
does the pump make noise? If so, you can try to fill up the hose with water, sometimes it works. If the noise ist first loud then less loud may be that the water cant flow, because the whole maschine is calcified, try to decalcify, best and secure way with tartaric acid. If there is no noise, the pump may be damaged, or there is a fuse blown (mechanical or electric) at the pump.

We have a Cuisinart Grind and Brew machine that has stopped working. Specifically, you turn the coffee maker on, but it turns it's self off. It sounds like a switch problem. Has anyone else experienced this? We hate to trash the machine if it's fixable.
