Question about Belkin OmniView SOHO 2-port KVM Switch
When I try to connect by KVM switch it just beeps all the time and the top indicator flashes. This is first time I tried it. No DVI is connected only USB
In the link below, on page 9 of the PDF the maximum stated resolution of the KVM is Up to 1920x1440 @ 75Hz.
The monitor supports up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz.
It sounds like there is an issue of synchronization between the monitor and KVM. This will force the monitor into a lower resolution to sync them. You may want to check with Belkin to see if there is a firmware update for the KVM. There may also be a driver issue with one(all) of the video cards on the system. I recommend updating the drivers on all affected machines with the monitor connected directly to the individual machines. Rather than using generic drivers, I would use the drivers downloaded from the manufacturer of video cards and from Viewsonic for the monitor.
