I have narrowed the problem down to the ink absorber box full problem but do not know how to get to it to clean or replace it. How do I get the right part of the case off? Thanks.
You will have to remove the scanner top to get to the absorber box, a little more complicated that I care to explain in this forum. You could just reset the absorber box count and move on...the ones I have cleaned were not that bad when this problem and error 46 occurred. Go in to maintenance mode by pressing Menu, *,2,8,6,4 withing two seconds. If the lights are not blinking, press the stop key and retry procedure. The display will not say maintenance if you have error code 46. Once in maintenance mode press 8,0 to enter equipment data log. Press the black start key until the machine displays "Purge". Press 2,7,8,3 in this order to reset purge counter to 0. Press black start key until the display says "Flushing". Press 2,7,8,3 in this order to reset flushing counter to 0. Press stop key to exit the Equipment Data Log. Press 9,9 to exit maintenance mode

Thie procedure worked very well for me. Thank you. I printed out your solution (now that the printer is working again) so I have it handy the next time it happens.
Where can I get information on accessing and cleaning the absorber box?
I have been using 'G&G ECO-SAVER' cartridges purchased from Sam's Club, and suspect they may be contributing to the problem, but I have many left so will continue using them up. Hope I don't destroy the printer.
AWESOME!! THANK YOU SO MUCH - WORKED FOR ME TOO!!!!
This worked, thank you!
