Question about Dell Inspiron B130 Notebook
Dell Inspiron B130
Last nite it was working just fine, I shut it off normally. this morning when I tried to reboot, Windows will start to boot, ask for the initial login password and once I enter it, it will state 'logging in...' and then it just sits there. The screen goes blank and it sits blue forever. I have let it go for 35 minutes, but it just sits there.
It does however tells me when the battery is disconnected. It does give me a prompt from my antivirus (SpyDoctor).
Could it be the video card? except I am not sure if B130s have a video card or not.
When I run it in safe mode, the screen just shows black. It lets me start in safe mode with a prompt, still doesnt do anything beyond that.
Sometimes, it gives me a prompt for a new hardware install wizard that needs to be installed but the hardware name is 'unknown'.
WHAT SHOULD I DO??????????

But I went on to the DELL website and downloaded the necessary drivers and was able to fix the issue. The drivers come in a .exe file so I copied them to the laptop via a USB and executed them. I think it was the BIOS drivers that fixed it.

Put installation cd in. Boot and when asked at end. Select repair. When dos screen starts, select operating system. The prompt C:/ will apear, type chkdsk /p this will check your partitions and repair. When it finishes you should be able to restart.
