Do you hear 3 beeps when the computer prepares to boot? if so this could indicate dirty or bad RAM. Remove the RAM and clean it and the slot it goes into with a soft dry paint brush then return it back to the slot. If you have more than one ram stick remove them both but only try one at time when you reboot just in case one of them is bad,
also try doing the same with your graphics card, remove it and clean it then replace it. Do the ram first and then the graphics card.

I hope this helps

if this does not help and no one else has a solution that works, thenI suggest contacting the company you purchased it from to get it repaired free or to get a free replacement, if it is still under warranty

Gateway dx 4320 wont turn on

It could be a few things:

a faulty power switch - you say that you've changed the PSU, but did that include the switch?

it could also be a Faulty Motherboard or CPU. If either of them are fried, you won't see anything come on either.

I'd suggest checking the switch first because that's the cheapest and easiest to replace

My cpu will not turn on at all after being disconnected in order to set it up in another part of the room.

Try the AC power cord connection where it plugs in to the computer power supply on the back of the tower. The cord often can be loose in the socket, looking like it's connected but not making contact. Also be sure the new outlet where you have the computer plugged in has power. It may have a switch controlling it. It's unlikely there's anything internally wrong with the computer since all you did was move it, so you'll probably find it's just not getting power.

Gateway GT4010 boots then starts beeping and shuts off

First check your power supply section and check your power fan that is running properly. if ok then the suspected area is your processor section. please check it if its collar fan nor running properly then clean up or change that. and the other advice is please check your processor pin which are too tiny. be careful about these.

Multi speed fan on Gateway too loud..

You may have more than one fan.
The fan in the power supply may not be replaced, but you can replace the switch mode power supply with a newer model that has a larger fan that is very quite.
The same goes for the second fan (if you have one) that is inside the case.
Most computer suppliers have better designed and quiter fans.

Loud noise

Typical problem in most computers, the fan is experiencing a "burn out." This means there is either something caught in the fan causing it to create noise, or the motor is going bad. there are two fixes for this problem.
1) open you computer's case according to its manual and remove the system cooling fan and give it a thorough cleaning.
2) you may need to replace the cooling fan with its recommended replacement model.

Hope this helps!

Gateway One Fan Problem

Hi, there is a possibility that the fan is self is defective or power supply cannot supply the fan completely thats why when you turned it on you never hear it running. ICheck the fan connection if is properly connected then using a voltmeter check the voltage supply in the fan it should be +12V or you can replace the it with a reliable one so that you can determin if the fan is defective or not.

I have a Gateway One Model GZ7220. When it powers down the fan starts once the power is off and runs continously. I don't think it ever runs when the Gateway One is on. Can you help?

Wow that is strange. When the power supply turns off there cant be any more power.
Are you sure you dont log off or go to stand by? My computer does that to. Since I reinstalled windows my cpu fan stays running and my 2 case fans. Just go to power options to adjust your standy by options.
